Unsafe Property, Personal Injury, and No Support! I stayed at 96 Gosaumühlstraße, Seehaus, 4830 Hallstatt, Austria (man

Nice view and good location.

The entire glass door in the master bedroom second floor suddenly collapsed during normal use, falling directly on me. This caused serious injuries including bruises on my knees and hands, a back sprain, and severe shock. The accident happened due to improper installation and unsafe maintenance, not any misuse. The management company (Stark Holidays Team) tried to shift responsibility and delayed any proper follow-up or inspection. • Booking.com also failed to respond within 48 hours, providing no written guidance or professional support. • This was not just an inconvenience, it was a serious safety hazard that endangered my health, and both the property and Booking.com showed unacceptable negligence and unprofessionalism.

The location was amazing, easy walk to everywhere - even to the P2 parking. The decor lovely, and it had everything we needed. The direct access to the lake was incredible for a refreshing swim during the peak business of the afternoons. The evenings were beautiful and quiet.

Minor, but noticeable - the shower didn't drain well after first of four to use it, and the espresso machine front needed to be held it to function (the french press backup was missing a simple screw to hold plunger together). But we survived! Just make sure you have whole beans for espresso machine.

Property was unreachable and unresponsive

Great view and location was great, just a short distance from the pier

Property is unreachable and unresponsive despite numerous attempts, be it calls or messages. We booked two apartments for pax of 7 but only one apartment was accessible and we were locked out of another ("Boothaus"). Ended up having to squeeze 7 ppl in an apartment which is meant for 4 pax.

The location and the views are amazing.

Nothing was provided except towels in such an expensive room price. The shower drain is clogged, so you have to turn off the tap several times while showering to let the water drain; otherwise, it will overflow. In addition, the sofa and dining chairs are somewhat dirty, covered with dust and stains.

Great Location & Views, Poorly Cleaned and Maintained.

You cannot beat the location. You are RIGHT on the water with iconic views from BOTH balconies. It is breathtaking to sit with a cup of coffee and take it in. The house itself is a nice touch of traditional and modern with a nicely updated kitchen, and bathroom. The beds are comfy and the blankets soft.

The house itself feels worn out and tired. It was nicely updated, but has been poorly taken care of. Some light switches don’t work, the wifi is so poor it only works in the living room if you’re lucky, the shower drain was mostly clogged so you had to turn off the water once or twice during your shower to let it drain, and there were cobwebs and dust in most corners and shelves.

Definitely will not recommend due to the wood worms in every wall in the house

All the walls in the house were full of wood worms, which is potentially dangerous since the walls at some point could collapse. Also the lights were going on upon every movement and in the night the lights on the stairs on the way to the toilet were waiking up everyone. The host is not reacting at all. Swimming from the house is not the best experience since it is very close to the boat station. To reach the house is not comfortable at all, it is on a hill and the shuttle does not go there but stops below the hill so you have to carry your luggage up all the way. Very uncomfortable, especially with kids. The view from the balcony you can have from anywhere, even from supermarket, therefore is not special for the house location. Hallstaat is extremely beautiful but I’ll definitely not recommend to stay in this house, especially because of worms in every single wall and the danger that they can collapse.

Amazing design and right on the lake

Holy cow, this is the best location ever! The apartment is directly overlooking the lake with 2 balconies. We stayed when it was pouring rain and spent lots of our time comfortable on the covered balcony, enjoying the spectacular view. You can see the lake, town, and famous steeple from the balcony. The apartment has cool design and was very comfortable for a family of 4 (at least 5 could fit easily - there are two bedrooms and a daybed in the living room).

Nothing, it was amazing! The instructions to get to the apartment were a bit confusing beforehand, but it all made sense once we were there in person.

Beautiful seaside house with great views.

Stunning view. Location was great. Lots of space. Plenty of amenities. Upper and lower decks to enjoy the view. Bed was comfortable. Temperature was fine even without fans or AC. Away from the main drag where EVERYONE was taking pictures of themselves.

Steps going down into the property (that's just geographical). Multiple doors didn't shut correctly. Entry door took some getting used to.

Stay here if you like difficulties

Host is not helpful and responsive. First we asked for instruction to reach them after 5 pm. (shuttle bus hours ended at 5 pm is what they informed us but we learned that it actually ended at 7 pm. we arrived by 6 pm.) but they did not responded. So, we have to drag our luggages from parking lot to the house Secondly, when we could not open the door according to the instruction they provided when we try to contact them they kept saying " have you read the instruction ?" they even asked us to read the instruction to them !?! Finally, it came out that they forgot to tell us all the information we need to unlock the door. (The instruction they gave us have only 3 steps but actually there are 4 steps to unlock the door). Though the house itself is quite like what appeared in the pictures but compare to the price you paid, the difficulties to get there, the unresponsive and not helpful host, considering stay somewhere else when you don't have to find any difficulties during your vacation.

The apartment is a few minutes walk away from the ferry station and has balconies facing the beautiful Hallstatt lake and mountains.

Lack of support from host on carpark and check out time is too early.

P1 Carpark is far away (20min walk) and no carpark ticket or parking lot near to the property. Need to move the luggage from the carpark to the property.

We drive and arrived at 8pm in evening but check out time strictly at 10am on next morning

Such an awesome place let down by basics. Unclear instruction about how to open the door (just say turn to the left). One wine glass in the whole place. Knives weren’t sharp - bent and blunt. Recommend a parking area if you are driving.

Overall we enjoyed our stay but found the place a bit over priced.

The rooms were comfortable as were the bathrooms. The kitchen was more than enough and the views were breathtaking.

No breakfast was included with this property. Though they had a coffee maker they didn't provide coffee pods or supplies. This is the first property through Booking.com for which no coffee was provided. For the price charged at this property that would have been a nice touch. Also we ran out of toilet paper. Though after 16:00hrs dining options are extremely limited and all shops including the small grocery store close at 18:00hrs.

2 stranger girl ring our bell in the midnight of 3am and said want to take the book. Would like to suggest to check a CCTV, it’s very terrifying and shocking And property didn’t provide the shampoo and coffee machine didn’t function.

The location was excellent and the beds were comfortable.

The area is restricted for entry by car. I did not understand this when booking (maybe it was mentioned) so we had a little walk from a rather far away parking lot. That's ok, but the owners did not respond to text nor answer the phone (during business hours) to clarify. One of the sheets was dirty (clearly was not replaced as the stain was apparent). Wifi was intermittent (mostly no network) even when we were near the router. And, the shower drain was clogged and water overflowed very quickly.

Gorgeous view in a gorgeous village!

The VIEW!! Absolutely perfect! The house decor was impeccable. Very quiet area, close to the main attractions and also the boat station. We went in January so the house was very warm. Very comfortable beds and big enough rooms.

Unfortunately, there was some things that disappointed us, considering the money we paid to stay there. 1. Although it says it is for 5 people, there are only 2 beds. There is a small couch in the living room, however it is not very comfortable and there are no bed sheets for it. 2. Again, they only provide enough towels for 4 people. In our case the 5th person had to use our small towels. 3. Not enough wine glasses for 5 people, they only had 3. 4. They do not offer toiletries. We had 2 sinks, however only 1 had a soap container, which was almost empty. They do mention that in the facilities section, however I do feel like there should at least be hand soap. 5. The dishwasher was stinking like something dead was inside. That needs some serious cleaning and some salt. 6. I messaged the property to ask for more bed sheets and they never responded, which I find disrespectful. We made it worked, because the house is very pretty and the view is gorgeous, and Hallstatt is definitely worth a visit, however these are basic things in my opinion and they should be provide.

Everything was amazing. The house the, location , the towels and the cuvet were smelling amazing.

The check out was supposed to be at 11 o clock but the cleaning team was there at 10 exactly so we had to leave at 10.
