A charming place

Definitely worth our money. The location is superb and the parking is nice and convenient. You can easily walk to the town centre and the street itself was absolutely charming during Christmas time when we stayed here. The house itself combines rustic and modern elements which I'm a huge fan of. We didn't find ourselves missing anything. Our host even let us stay parked for a few hours after the check out which was so nice!

Most of the clothes hangers in the closet are sadly falling apart, it was quite difficult to hang anything.

Apartment Sophia is far from Hallstatt and hard to reach.

"Apartment Sophia in Hallstatt is an okay place to stay, but the location is quite inconvenient. It’s far from the main attractions, and reaching it is difficult. After arriving at Hallstatt train station, you must take a ferry to the village, and from there, there’s no taxi or public transport to the property—you have to walk about 2 km, which was very challenging for us."

Nice

It was cosy and clean. 15 minute walk to Centre. There was noise from other guests but contacted the owner and they sorted it right away.

The glass door at the top of the stairs lacked privacy. We arrived in Hallstatt late evening and we weren’t aware we had to get a ferry and that we needed cash. Luckily we just had enough or else we would have been stuck. Communication from the owner about that would have been helpful.

Great stay.

It is located in a private neighborhood area 0.4 km from the bus station and 0.8 km from the center of town. Everything is walkable. The place was wonderful and the rooms were clean and huge. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was nice. The check-in instructions were great and clear, we don’t have any problem communicating. Overall, it was a great stay even though it was short.

Not the fault of the property, but some guest were a little noisy in the middle of the night.

There are too many problems to feel yourself truly comfortable.

The apartment was big and clean with nice view from the windows. Very nice and warm bed. Good pillows.

1. No WiFi 2. It was cold in the apartment. Hitters didn’t work in some rooms and in the bathroom. 3. Check in at 4 pm and check out at 10 pm. Then usually in hotels check in time is 2 pm and check out is 11 or 12 am. The apartment is not cheap but this conditions make it even more expensive than any hotel. We paid 230 euro per night it means that every hour here costs 13 euro. But here you even do not have time to rest after the train and should wake up early in the morning. 4. Shower holder was broken 5. We were told that we should be silent after 9pm. Because the neighbours should wake up early. Ok! But they were not nice towards us in the morning at 6 am on Saturday with their love sounds.

Amazing

We had a wonderful stay in this cozy apartment located in a quiet neighborhood, just a short walk from Hallstatt and the stunning lake. The place was warm, spotless, and perfectly equipped for the snowy weather — the hot water and heating worked flawlessly. The host was very kind and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended for a peaceful and charming Hallstatt experience.

Good location, very good staff instructions.

It was very close to Hallstat, in a very quiet neighborhood, easy to park and check in.

It's not about the property, but it was impossible to find somewhere to buy groceries, we tried at 7pm and at 9am, and everything was closed. That town has very few options, we even went to the next town and the same, everything was closed. The property was a little bit pricy but I imagine is normal for Hallstat

Convenient location in Hallstatt

Location was great and apartment came with parking. Facilities were good, nice layout, use of slippers, washing machine. Good communication with owner on WhatsApp, but I never saw/met them.

Check out is early, so not much time in the apartment to enjoy it. Some issues with webs, also although was not expecting it, the tub was a jacuzzi bath, but alas it did not work. Blinds on one of the bathroom windows was missing, so privacy issue. Beds were comfortable, but pillows very soft.

The accommodation is located in the heart of the neighborhood, offering a quiet and pleasant atmosphere. Tourist attractions are just a five-minute walk away. The facilities are clean and user-friendly. The interior decoration and other furnishings were meticulously prepared. My entire family was satisfied.

Perfect for visitors to the salt mines

- Perfect location, 10 min walking distance to the salt mines - The apartment is modest but tidy and has everything you need - Free parking slot, and it was even allowed to leave our car there after the checkout so that we could safely go to the salt mines tour

- Too pricey - The sleeping room could use some thicker curtains, you have to wake up with the sunrise

Good location, easy walk to Hallstatt. Charming traditional studio, clean and comfortable.

The studio didn’t have a washing machine, like the other apartments. As we had been traveling for about 2 weeks prior to our arrival I wanted to do a quick small wash. I was told I could use one of the machines and that they could wash for 20 euros, considering the price we paid, I thought it was a bit unreasonable.

We had a wonderful stay at this property, which is beautifully surrounded by nature. The peaceful and calm atmosphere made it the perfect place to relax and unwind. Despite the tranquil setting, it’s conveniently located not too far from the bus terminal, which made getting there quite easy. The ground floor is very spacious and ideal for families, with clean and comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen, and even some games available to enjoy quality time together. It felt like a home away from home. The owner was extremely friendly and accommodating, and could be contacted via WhatsApp, usually responding very promptly. We especially appreciated the kind gesture of allowing us to store our luggage after checkout — it made our departure so much smoother.

A great studio apartment with kitchen sitting in a beautiful mountain setting.

The studio we stayed has 4 windows looking out to the beautiful Mountain Views. The kitchen has everything you need for your stay. Lucy is very nice and let us check out a bit later and allowed our car to park there some extra time after check out time. We love this place’s surroundings and the cozy feeling of this apartment. Thank you Lucy! This is my second time visiting Hallastat, this lodging location is quiet and by the mountains and only a few minutes walk to the water and town center. And it has free parking!

A paradise hidden away !

the property photos show a picture of the lake but it;s actually a bit further away in the foothills of the mountains. So, get ready to be woken up by bird calls and a peaceful neighbourhood. Very nice surroundings and you can always walk to the lake in like 10 mins.

Overpriced

Probably visiting area would be nice in spring and summer. Place was not far from center. Bathroom was well furnished

Apartment is extremely overpriced. It is an old village house, partially refurbished. There was no good sound insulation and conversations from other rooms were audible. Floor levels were not even and it was cold, radiators were not sufficient. We used an electric heater but then fuses switched off the power. It was not comfortable. Apart of that there was no place outside to eat, everything was closed as out of season. we found a Turkish Pizzeria at distance of 10 km.

Everything upstairs is very bad. Only the ground floor is good. I didn't expect that. I was scammed. I have never stayed in such a bad accommodation for such an expensive price. Ridiculous. Very inadequate accommodation. Backward addition is negative, the question is not how do I know that only the ground floor is good, but why it is bad above.

The area is a Gem, most beautiful surroundings

Great location, but not very comfortable for sleeping.

I liked the location, that it was spacious, had a full kitchen, washing machine, and private parking.

It's a two bedroom apartment, they didn't make the second bed, so there was only one bed and two pillows available in the apartment. We found the bed to be pretty uncomfortable and the bedding kind of scratchy. It made for a poor night sleep. The check in and check out time felt kind late and early (4pm/10am), no possibility for an early checkin, but i was aware of it going in.
