Home away from home- heaven on earth away from the crowds!

If I could escape from the world and live at Appartmente Emilia forever I would! The apartments has everything you need to see Hallstatt but escape the hustle and bustle. The hosts are accommodating, respectful, responsive and kind. I felt at home the moment I walked in- when you are on the other side of the world that means so much!

The bed is comfortable, the interior is pleasant, and the place feels cozy. The hosts are friendly, and both check-in and check-out were smooth and easy. Great value for money and suitable for both short and longer stays.

Staff is extremely helpful and friendly, helped us to move all the luggages to the top floor. Location is great and we enjoyed the stunning view from The apartment.

Beautiful exterior and interior. The apartment was so well thought out, Emilia didn’t miss any details, it had everything we needed. Perfect location, short walk to the very centre yet tucked away to hide from the tourists. They even had paddle boards for us to use on the lake! They let us park on site before our check in and after our check out.

We had the ground floor apartment which was spacious, clean and everything we needed for our stay in Hallstatt. Having parking and access to the lakefront with stunning views of Hallstatt. An easy 10 min stroll to the village.

Amazing apartment and very good, helpful hosts. We had 5 suitcases for a family of 5, and our rooms were on the 2nd floor. But they helped move our bags up to the second floor, and also brought them down at check-out. The rooms were comfortable, clean and had great views too. The location is amazing for people who like peace and serenity. It is about 3-4 mins walk from Lahn bus station and about 11-13 mins peaceful walk from ferry. The road is good enough to carry suitcases on it. Carrying them from the ferry to the apartment and then back should not be a problem for most. Fully loaded kitchen appliances - included everything needed for even a huge meal. Strongly recommended to book this for your next visit. Also, the beautiful sitting area right outside their apartment with a literal and direct lake access was the cherry on top. It also had a swing and tables and comfy and cushioned chairs. There is dedicated parking for cars as well. No complaints. Exceeded expectations!

It's more of a preference than a con. It had only one bathroom and one toilet. So it may be a bit inconvenient if more people are staying. (Though the toilet (WC) and bath areas are separate - so that's good.)

Wonderful stay! Exceed our expectation!

The room is spacious, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated, with fresh flowers 🌸 placed everywhere—stepping inside instantly feels warm and healing. The host thoughtfully prepared fresh fruits 🍎🍇, and the kitchen is fully equipped with top-of-the-line Miele appliances, including a fresh bean-to-cup coffee machine ☕️. Outside, the garden is beautifully maintained, clearly showing the owner’s care and effort. The house even comes with its own private garden and dock—swans 🦢 occasionally glide by as if to say hello. The view toward the town center is absolutely stunning. We also met the cutest cat 🐈‍⬛ by the garden—a small, sweet surprise that made our trip even more special. There’s also free parking 🅿️! It’s about a 10-minute walk to the town center.

🤣believe there was a high school graduation party going on in the neighbour..so the kids were still yelling at 3 am…the windows are not really sound proof(we don’t expect it to be)..sure it was just a very rare case, Not a problem.

Stunning apartment in great location

Charming and beautifully decorated apartment in the heart of Hallstatt. Included parking space is very helpful. Kitchen was one of the best we have encountered on our travels. The view of the mountains from the little patio was stunning. This is the perfect base for exploring n the village and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Very cozy, great location

Location, very helpful staff, very cozy. If you are driving you can park right beside the house.

Only dislike for us, which really wasn’t a big deal, was that you have the 3rd floor on a house which you cannot shut a door to the rest of the house. But you have a key for each bedroom to lock your stuff. We would definitely stay here again, very nice overall.

Apartment Emilia is located in a safe and picturesque residential area of Hallstatt with narrow streets and other residences. There is a parking spot right across the street where the host let us keep our car after we checked out until 14:00. The location is ideal and only 5 minutes away from the funicular to go up the mountain and a 5-10 minute walk from the center of town. It's all very walkable. The hosts live on a lower floor and were very gracious, available and helpful. The apartment is the top floor of the house which is built in an alpine chalet style. It is spotless and well maintained. The WC, bathroom and kitchen are updated and well stocked. There is a kitchen table seating 6. There are three bedrooms with queen size beds -- the main bedroom is large with a sitting area and armoire. The other two bedrooms also have armoires and are smaller but adequate in size. The apartment and common areas of the property are beautifully decorated which adds to the charm of the location. I highly recommend this property!

Since the apartment is the top floor right under the roof, there are occasional roof-supporting rafters here and there, so taller people may need to duck. Not a big deal and the rafters are not in the way of the high traffic areas, but something to be mindful of. We had two tall people in our party and we would stay there again in a heart-beat.

Homey atmosphere. Emilia was really nice and kind. She went beyond just a host, trying to make sure we were totally comfortable. Everything was prepared well, like you're at home except that you had a view of Unesco heritage in front of your windows. She dedicated her time and strength to help my son finding his fallen drone in the garden wood of a house although they couldn't find it. Really thank anyway.

Everything is great! Location is perfect, very close to center but at the quiet area without noises. There are free private parking places just across from the apartment and a small relaxing area just next the the lake. We have the whole 3rd floor flat with 3 rooms, the flat is lovely, cozy and with nice decorations. There’s no breakfast and no elevator, but no issues for us and would like to come back once again in the future.

Exceptional hostess

Emilia was an exceptional hostess...greeted us on arrival. Facilities were extensive and good quality. Lots of fine touches, including fruit, chocolate and wine. (We didn't partake of all of it!!) We were able to use laundry facilities and the little terrace at the back was perfect for breakfast HIGHLY recommended
