A perfect winter retreat—peaceful, homely, and steps away from the stunning lake.

This place is a great place for winter retreat. It is a stone away from the lake. I enjoyed waking up to see the lake and the peace after the tourist leave. I have so much to rave about this place - it is homely, spacious and everything you need to make your stay feels at home. Oma took care of us. She gave us tips - that we didn't find online. We love Hallstatt and stayed there for 4 nights. It wasn't enough. I wish we stayed longer to enjoy the village and this beautiful home.

This place is an absolutely wonderful winter retreat — just a stone’s throw from the lake! Waking up to peaceful lake views, especially after the day-trippers leave, was one of the highlights of our stay. There’s so much to love about this home: it’s cozy, spacious, and fully equipped with everything you need to feel completely at ease. It truly felt like a home away from home. Oma took such good care of us, sharing thoughtful tips we never would have found online. Her kindness made our stay even more special. We fell in love with Hallstatt and stayed for four nights… and honestly, it wasn’t enough. I wish we could have stayed longer to soak in more of the village’s charm and the comfort of this beautiful home.

Very cozy place, will visit again

The view from the balcony is great. You can have a cup of coffee on the balcony and leisurely look at the lake view of Hallstatt.

It is a little far from the ship's pier, about a 10-15 minute walk. It is difficult to walk with a suitcase, but not difficult to do.

Beautiful, peaceful stay to our last few days in Austria.

Location, close to buses, shops, restaurants. Walking distance to ferry to train station. Sheep in the meadow, and balcony overlooking lake was like a post card.

A wonderful homely stay in the heart of Hallstatt.

The apartment felt like a home away from home. There was everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The balcony looked over the lake and was right at the ferry station to go to Obertraun. Grandma who lives downstairs welcomed us and let us know where the supermarket and bakery were. It was only a short stroll to the market area where there were shops and restaurants.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

Ideial place to stay in Halstatt.

The apartment is right at the beginning of town which is really crowded in summer and very hard to park in. The parking for Pepi's is right in front of the house that the apartment is in. It is then an easy walk to the Saltwerk and the rest of town. It made staying in Hallstatt a lot nicer. The apartment is big, clean, modern and comes with everything you need if you want to cook or just relax on the balcony with great views of the lake. The hosts and very nice.

Halstatt is very crowded in summer with tons of day trippers arriving by numerous buses, boats and cars. But Pepi's makes it so bearable.

Enjoyable Hallstatt stay

The apartment is situated in Hallstatt but has great parking - you really are in the centre of things. It is very well equipped with everything you need for a stay and you don’t need to use the car once there if it’s Hallstatt you’ve come to see. The beds were comfortable and the balcony is great. We enjoyed a visit to the salt mine, some lovely walks round Hallstatt, hired an electric boat for a lovely hour on the lake and a short walk away there is a bathing area where you can relax on the grass and swim in the lake. We’d brought our paddle board so we used this there too.

Nothing to dislike - the main bedroom is open plan so privacy isn’t ideal but it is a lovely room. The apartment is a little old fashioned for the cost but it is an expensive area to stay so it is fair enough. You are next to the main road into Hallstatt but you do have a lake view.

Had the best time during our long-weekend trip 😊

Perfect location right next to the lake, very close to the central part of Hallstatt, yet in a peaceful and quiet environment. The apartment is very cozy and has a lovely vibe. Everything is provided to be comfortable on spot. We definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Hallstatt for a few days.

Tired apartment in an amazing location

The location is amazing and the views are spectacular. Being able to park on site is brilliant as parking in Hallstatt is generally a nightmare. Hallstatt is an incredible place to visit.

The facilities are VERY run down and the apartment is very tired and as this is a very expensive apartment, the value for money is extremely poor. The fridge is ancient and the freezer compartment has obviously been frozen shut for some time, so we could not use it. The bathroom smelt and was really tired. A coffee capsule machine and many capsules is provided, which is nice, but the machine itself is defunct or needs servicing as it only provides a dribble. I tried cleaning the coffee supply nozzle but no joy. The initial communication with the host was fine but subsequent communication was quite poor and we weren’t sent the key safe code until after we had arrived. So the location and parking spot are great and the apartment is comfortable enough but definitely not worth the money in our opinion.

Amazing place to stay while visiting Hallstatt!

This was our favorite place to stay of our two week vacation in Austria. Hallstatt is a beautiful town and Pepi's Apartment allowed me to sit on the balcony, drink a coffee, and look over the lake. The apartment is comfortable and in a great location. The host is a very sweet elderly Austrian lady that is a delight to speak to. I would love to return to Hallstatt and Pepi's Apartment is where I would stay.

Amazing Apartment & Location

Amazing location with wonderful views of the lake. Very clean and has everything you need for the perfect vacation. Comfortable beds and so nice having a washing machine. Parking was so easy and very safe in the gated private property. We look forward to returning to Pepi’s apartment next time, we visit the area. Highly recommend it.

Nice apartment in a beautiful setting.

Pepi's Apartment was adequate for our needs. We appreciated having a balcony with a view, a washer, and plenty of space. It was nice to have the Nespresso pods, dish soap, and dishwasher tablets. It also was nice to have a small blanket on the bed; we used it instead of the comforter. The bakery was right across the street, as was one grocery store. There is another grocery down the street. Carola was very responsive and proactive.

It was about a 15-minute walk to the ferry landing; with luggage in tow, it was not so easy on the cobblestone streets. I knew from pictures and other guests' reviews that the ceilings were slanted and not really suitable for tall people. The shower is small with no place to put soap, shaver, etc. The tub was nice but hard to get out of (again, the slanted ceiling). There was no shampoo--just little bottles of body wash. The kitchen cookware/utensils were minimal.

A Perfect Stay in Hallstatt!

We love everything about this place! The apartment was spacious & clean, and has all the facilities you need for a short stay. Private parking is available. The view from the balcony was mesmerising. Location was perfect as it was so close to the lake, supermarket, the furnicular station (for the Salt Mine and Skywalk) etc. The check-in process was really smooth. We had arrived earlier than planned, but the owner has kindly let us have an early check-in. We also love the little things like the coffee & cream in the kitchen, the fresh flowers from the main entrance right up to the apartment, the smell of flowers & herbs throughout the place. And once in a while, we spotted 2-3 deers at the foothill behind the apartment. We also met the owner, Erica, who's a wonderful lady and made us feel at home.

Awesome location, amazing host

The location is very convenient. You only need to cross a small road to get to the busiest street in Hallstatt. It happens to be the bus stop where you get off. You don’t have to worry about driving here, you can park your car directly in front of the house. Grandma is Super friendly and talkative. It's a bit cold at the end of October. The heating will be turned on after 21:30 at night, which is very comfortable.

There was construction going on on the first floor when we arrived. We were woken up by the sound of construction at 7:30 the next morning, but fortunately the sound stopped after we notified the owner immediately.

A beautiful clean spacious apartment overlooking the beautiful lake. Fantastic location for my family. We felt very happy here and could have stayed longer.

Getting to Pepi's can be tricky. It's basically a U Turn from the busy road (on the right straight after exiting the tunnel) so difficult and actually best to drive past the road turn around and then come back to the road which leads to the lane to Pepi's. Not a complaint at all just to help future guests.

Characterful apartment in a great location

We arrived quite late but we loved the fact we could just let ourselves in. The apartment is large and well equipped for a family of 4. The views of the lake are just lovely. The apartment is located very close to the lake and all the activities around it. Parking was easy and free and we opted for a later check out for an extra cost which was very convenient for us. The building itself is old and characterful and so is the apartment. Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer. I would love to go back.

The apartment is located at the side of a busy road so there is some traffic noise during the day. We were out most of the time so it didn't really bother us. At the start and end of the day it was fine once all the daytrippers had left.

Easy to park, a good location! You will have all you need in the kitchen, the perfect place to stay in Hallstatt. The only thing you should know is the apartment is on the second /third floor, so be aware of your heavy luggage! but it's all the same in this historic area I think !

Beautiful first experience in Hallstatt

Pepi’s apartment is such a gem. We couldn’t be happier that we chose this property for our stay in Hallstatt. The unit was so adorable. Its been our dream to experience staying at the chalet type of property in Europe. And our dream came true here in Pepi’s. Its absolutely adorable, authentically decorated with super gorgeous view. It felt like being at home. The apartment has spacious bedroom, spacious bathroom, spacious open concept living foom- kitchen area. We can see ourself go back to Hallstatt and stay here again in the future. Our host Carola and her husband Martin (if I remember his name correctly) were very helpful throughout our stay.

The heater didnt work properly on our first night. But they fixed it right away the next day which was a great.

Very relaxing and beautiful

The apartment was spacious, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. The view of the lake and the Alps from the patio door was awesome. The location was perfect and just a few minutes walk to all the shops, cafes, restaurants, and sites. Hallstatt is gorgeous!
