Excellent stay
The accomidation was close to all the nesseticies. The accomidation also provided floor heating which was more than enough to keep cozy in the cold environment. The back garden provided a view of the lake and mountains. Altogether it was everything we could have asked for.

Generally it was a great experience, nice location, unforgettable memories!
Great location with a nice garden, direct access to the lake, magical view. The stuff was nice, the host was always willing to help and the local owner of the gift shop was very friendly and helped us with some recommendations about the town.
The obvious drawback is absence of any signs indicating the slope inside the yard which is invisible due to snow. It resulted in my car being stuck, so I had to pay 200 euros to take the car out and I was constantly worried if the car was ok after that (luckily it was). Also it would be great to clean the dust under the furniture in the house - in some places it hasn’t been cleaned for ages.

Fantastic location right on the edge of the lake
Fantastic location on the edge of the lake, amazing view from the kitchen window. Great underfloor heating kept it really cosy. Owner very friendly and made sure we were comfortable. Close to supermarket and restaurants. Kitchen was really well equipped and there was cooking oil, salt, pepper, herbs, sugar, teas and coffee which was a great bonus.
There was a lot of large antique furniture in the small apartment which would not be to everyone’s taste and it was still quite expensive but everything in Hallstatt is expensive!

Great location, very cozy apartment. Karlheinze was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. He proactively notified us about some issues and was very flexible when our arrival time was changing.

Amazing apartment with great view
We chose KraftTanken after canceling a much bigger (110sqm) and cheaper apartment, and I must say that we were happy with our decision to select KraftTanken. The apartment is located perfectly, whether you arrive by car or by train/ship. Everything is nearby, and the view from the apartment/garden is extraordinary. The garden, which is facing the lake, is perfect for relaxing, and if you have pets, it's a great place. Unfortunately, the weather was not so kind to us that we could enjoy the garden to the fullest. The host, Mr. Kraft, is very friendly and provided all the necessary details upfront. His guide for arrival is perfect so that you can never get lost. The apartment is not the biggest, but amazingly, it has everything you need. Though we didn't cook but it has everything for you to cook.

The photos on booking.com do not quite match the property. The property is quite rundown. There were multiple large stains on the couch in the living area. The stove did not work well. Additionally, the outside of the property had not been maintained.

A lovely stay in Hallstatt!
We loved our three night stay at this cute apartment in Hallstatt. The kitchen is well stocked, the bed was soft and comfortable, and the garden was a wonderful place to relax. We swam a couple of times and enjoyed watching the swans. Karlheinz is very quick to communicate and give helpful advice.
It was all great!
