Comfortable & nice, but you're on your own if something happens or need help in your apartment

Comfortable stay overall. It's a small apartment, perfect size for Solo travelers and/or couples for a short stay. The location of this place is just amazing! You have a perfect view of Lake Hallstatt from the comfort of the apartment, also you can just chill out on a chair outside the apartment. TIP: If it's snowing or has snowed before you arrived, the stairs leading down to the apartment are very, very slippery with ice!

I really hated the fact that there was absolutely nobody to talk to in case something happens during your stay. Way before my trip I messaged the host from booking.com as I was thinking of changing the dates of my stay. But guess what? I received no reply. The address they submitted is correct however it doesn't say that you need to go all the way down to lake as it only says number 96 on the outside, but the doors are named. Better signage is needed. They provide you with a mobile number in case you require any assistance. Don't bother with it, just like booking.com messaging system, nobody bothers to answer your calls or messages either. You're on your own, literally. I tried the website they provide as well, but to no avail..... Biggest issue? Found numerous BUGS & INSECTS in the apartment!! Luckily none on the bed or in the shower, thankfully. Another big issue is the lack of privacy! People outside can see EVERYTHING through the glass of the apartment door and windows! At least install some curtains or something...

Simply amazing facility. There is no better place in the entire town. You have a chance to enjoy the crystal clear water of the lake and feed swans from the front yard. Simply breathtaking!

Location. Beutiful room with great views. Everything is walkable. Steps away from picteresque and the famous fairytale view. .

Communication and directions to the properry. We spent an hour trying to look for the place. A landmark wud have been better. The contact no went to voicemail. Finally they responded to a whatsapp message.. that The communication was terrible. I write this so the info and communication can be improved for the next guest.

Incredible location, right on the lake shore with small garden and seating. Beautiful renovation of the basement apartment with views out over Hallstättersee from the bed.

The most beautiful location in a small but super lovely apartment. Directly by the lake, with the perfect view from anywhere in the apartment. You can literally walk outside and jump in the water. I cannot express enough how lovely this place was. on a pricey side but so is all of Hallstatt.

Disappointing

the location was amazing and we loved how close it was to everything.

We originally booked the apartment. The day we were due to arrive we got notified that there was some plumbing issues in the apartment so we got moved to the boathouse. This was phenomenally smaller , wifi wasn’t working and the tv was struggling to connect. we messaged the hotel a number of times to ask them to assist and they didn’t once reply to our messages over the 3 days we were there. We got offered a refund for price difference for the inconvenience but it has been 2 weeks now and we still haven’t received anything from them and no communication response. We booked this place with a checkout stating on booking.com being 11am, but then we were kicked out of our room at 10am with two people starring at us waiting for us to leave. as soon as we closed the doors they rushed in and cleaned everything in front of us with minimal communication. We asked why we had to check out at 10am and not 11am like our listing and the lady said “booking.com is not correct you must leave 10am”. it was a bit of a disheartening experience considering the beautiful location. There are a lot of other beautiful hotels in the area and if I would stay again I would be looking elsewhere.

Nice place with nice view

The location is very good because its very near to the pier of shuttle ferry. The bed is comfortable and so cozy, also the kitchen with a nice kitchenette so we can buy something from supermarket and do a light cooking (there is no air ventilation system)

The manner of cleaning company! In the reservation email, the property owner said check out time is 11am but actually the cleaning company come at 10am and ring the bell, they insist to to come in and don't listen to us even I did show the reservation email So overall the time we stay here is too short (check in 15h and check out 10h)not quite reasonable price. Also theres a problem with the drainage system in bathroom which the propertie's owner ignore our DM about this.

The apartment has a great view and it is renovated

For me personally it is unacceptable to have windows without curtains. Also from the main door of the apartment, if someone is from outside, they can watch normally and see all your movements. Because it didn't have curtains on two main windows we couldn't move in the room because if someone was outside they could see everything. there should be an update somewhere where the heating monitor is located. If it can be fixed the problem in the toilet had a very bad smell.

First of all, we have been struggled to find the apartment and tried to contact the host for help but she didn’t answer (until now there is no answer). in addition in the apartment there was no heating so we basically freeze in the night and there was not warm water in the shower. the only good thing was the location, all the others was terrible. don’t book this apartment unless you hate yourself.

Cozy place with beutiful views

The place has stunning views of the lake and mountains. It is very clean and tidy and everything looks very new. A little terrace in front of the apartment is really a bonus here, you can spend time having beer or coffee just at the lakefront.

No toiletries were provided. Also, the host was unreachable on the phone, I forgot the phone charger in the apartment and couldn't reach to stop by and pick it up. I had to contact Booking support for that, but by the time I got the response, I already left Hallstatt so I had to buy a new charger ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The decors are quite great. If not for the unmade room it would have been a dream stay.

The room was unmade, information of previous guests were left at the tv console, towels were not changed, rubbish was not cleared. What I was so looking forward to became a nightmare. There was also no response when I tried contacting the number they put up on this page. Even 2weeks after I left, there is still no updates or replies.

Not recommended, very poor value for money.

The beds were very comfortable. The location was really fantastic, not only was it a few minutes walk from the main square in Hallstatt, but the little private garden that opens onto the lake had a picturesque view. Although the house above and the Boatshed nextdoor were also being used while we were there, it felt very private.

The room was unfortunately dirty, there were spiderwebs all over the apartment, and we had to remove several spiders which kept crawling over the bed. The taps in the bathroom are slightly broken and need to be twisted in an odd way to make them work. There is very limited hot water, only about 5 minutes, which wasn't enough for both my partner and I. Several of the lights didn't seem to turn on. The check in process, and by extension all of our communication with the owners was really awful. We ended up needing to wait several hours after it got dark because the property manager had forgotten to put the key in the lockbox. This wouldn't have been so bad, but they also didn't answer any of our calls or messages until booking.com got in touch with them. They later also ignored our subsequent messages entirely. I should also note that after booking.com got involved, they tried to blame the situation on us, saying that we had simply not seen the key, luckily we'd taken a photo of the empty box. Overall I would not recommend staying here, although there's not a whole lot of options in the area, for the price they're asking the value for money is horrendous.
