The house is very close to Hallstat center. Good location and very nice clean house. Its very good choice for 6 people groups.

Nice place but rude host

Cleanliness, location and the cottage feel

The hostess was rude - When enquiring about the barbecue stove she gave us brief and impolite answers, leaving the impression that we weren’t welcome to use it although we technically paid to use it. During checkout period, the host arrived 20 minutes earlier than expected and said that it’s past checkout time and hurried us to leave. When we told her we needed a few more minutes she gave us unpleasant looks and even said “ oh my god what a mess! what have you guys been doing! “ - as we were frantically trying to tidy up.

Disappointing

The location of the house is absolutely beautiful between the mountains

The place itself is beautiful but the maintenance level of the house is very low. Some of the kitchenware is too cheap, like a tea pot with a sharp edge in the top cover that actually wounded my finger. The level of cleaning of the house is very low too. We found a used tissue paper sticking from between the mattresses in the bed, which makes me wonder if the sheets were changed at all before our arrival. In addition, the subfloor heating, which is the only way to warm up the apartment was not turned on before out arrival. (Don’t be misled by the photo of the wood fireplace – it is not allowed to use it for insurance reasons). It is the kind of subfloor heating that is very mild. It may keep the house warm once it is warm – but it takes more than 24 hours to be noticeable, and we felt cold almost throughout our stay. Not recommended, and definitely not good value for money.

lovely property, great location, shame about the garden

loved the upstairs suite, really spacious and plenty of wardrobe space, and a balcony, lovely bathroom and jacuzzi bath. it was so close to town so a great location and close to all the things we wanted to visit. perfect position for a visit to Hallstatt.

the garden, where shall I start. we pulled up and noticed a large white lid of something just lent up against the small garage, it was full of water so had been there for a while, the same garage had bags falling out the back, which made it look so scruffy. the garden shed looked it was in need of repair, eg the felt coming off of the roof and hanging down. there was a bbq that you couldn’t use, a tank of gas, and cooking trays just abandoned, the table and chairs had seen better days, one of the chairs being really crooked, all set in a patio area with a bbq pit, but you couldn’t sit there, the weeds were two foot high in some places, it really was not somewhere to relax at all. the grass needed cutting and was full of weeds, round the edges they have left to grow, I assume for the wildlife, but it was full of stinging nettles, so no good for young kids. under the eves of the house there were broken chairs and a garden umbrella just dumped, so we didn’t use it at all, which was a real shame, as the weather was perfect to enjoy a glass of wine there.

even though we called and told him we were on our way he refused us service.

we were not allowed to check in. we called the property and told them we were on our way. they said to call again when we arrived. we called multiple times when we got there and they would not answer. property was locked and we ended up booking another hotel.

the owner is a crook. he has multiple reviews with people saying they were ripped off and he won’t refund money. other hotels in the area said that he does this all the time. he is getting rich by stealing peoples money and not allowing them to check in.

Perfect location, not so great stay

Great location and nice cottage. Was surprised when the owner showed up without a mask although he was not vaccinated.

No way to turn on heating, no useable fireplace although listed. Pictures also showed a washer, dryer in the listing and iron/ironing board however these did no exist for this property finally. Would be worth updating the listing so that people know what to expect.

Un chalet tout confort

Un chalet magnifique à 5 minutes à pied du centre d'Hallstat avec une place de parking, 2 chambres, 2 sdb, tout équipé, vraiment sympa.

WiFi un peu limité, fuite d'eau de la baignoire, pas pu utilisé l'espace jardin car il pleuvait, un peu cher tout de même...
