Fabulously clean comfortable well located house

Excellent house on the edge of town. Close enough to be an easy walk but out of the tourist crowds.

Cozy cabin with plenty of common area. Great supply of appliances, dishware, and basics in the kitchen that we didn't have to purchase (milk, salt, pepper, sugar, etc.). Ample parking in front of the cabin for 2-3 cars. Easy walk into town without using the car. I would definitely recommend this cabin and not try to stay in town. It's best to stay outside the central part and walk in. Very nice bathrooms by European standards.

Some of the bedrooms are tight if you have large suitcases. There were only 4 of us so we were able to use the living room and extra bedroom to unpack/repack. We had a difficult time finding the cabin in the dark. Google maps sometimes didn't recognize the address and when it did, it directed us to a house on the next street over. Fortunately, on the second pass down the street we noticed houses behind the one it indicated and that's where the cabin is. You must make a left turn a few hundred feet before the cabin to get to the correct street. Unfortunately, that street is one lane wide and hidden by a fence. It looks like a driveway in the dark. We got there late and started looking for a restaurant at around 7:00pm. Apparently, the town closes up about that time in December. Fortunately, we had stopped at a grocery store prior to arrival and had things to eat. DO NOT drive into the central part of Hallstatt, even if the traffic arms are up, as they were when we got there. We did not see the sign in the dark (and German) saying that only residents and service persons are allowed to drive in. We were scolded by a resident and told that if the police saw us there, it would be a E250 fine. It's also one lane most of the way so passing someone going the opposite direction is impossible. The cabin was very hot when we arrived. There is no way to regulate the temperature that we could find so we opened the windows and the doors and it cooled off nicely. Had to sleep with some windows open to keep it from getting too hot.

The best place for family vacation I've ever been

I travel a lot but this place is one of the best I ever stayed! Excellent for big family or two-three small families or group of friends. It has everything you may need for life. Owners even provided tooth paste and brush. You can use laundry or BBQ. Extremely silent location with nice view. It's very close to the city center of Hallstatt but at the same time you don't live in the crowd. Will be happy to back again.

The price is quite high but it can be justified by location.

Highly recommended and lovely home in Hallstatt

It was like a home away from home. Very open and airy ground floor. Excellent hosts, stairs, rooms and other facilities. Everything we needed were supplied. Location and parking were very important for us and were able to explore Hallstatt easily on foot.

Heating was a bit high for us but the host adjusted the thermostat after we have requested.

Perfect location and wonderful property

The best way to enjoy Hallstatt is to be there before or after the tour busses have come and gone, and this house is a perfect place that allows for that. The place was very comfortable and cozy, and very easy to get to. Would definitely stay again. Hosts were great.

A great place to explore Hallstatt!

This is such a wonderful place to stay in Hallstatt. Location was easy to find and near to all places in Hallstatt. Check in was straightforward. Teresa was attentive and answered all questions promptly. House was fully equipped and nicely decorated and I appreciate the details in the house that reflect the specials of Hallstatt example the use of salt lamps.

This is Hallstatt with the mountains so wifi in general (everywhere!) is unstable. Washing machine and dryer are outside the house so that is something to take note of.

This is an amazing property! We would highly recommend it! Good location, but a little hard to find when we arrived. However, we could walk to everything. Our every need was anticipated and fulfilled. It is spacious, very clean, well equipped, and beautiful. You will love it!

Beautiful Stay in Hallstatt

This was by far our favourite accommodation during our trip across Austria. The house was exceptional, great facilities and amazingly comfortable rooms and beds. Location was also excellent, right in the heart of Hallstatt within walking distance of the town. Lovely touch by our host Julie, with some wine and chocolates waiting for us on arrival.

The house was charming and the location was great. Washer and dryer were great, each bedroom had a private bath.

Dryer took a long time to dry the clothes. Stairs a little difficult for some of our group. Pillows were strange, didn't have pillow cases.

It is the best place to stay. The house very cozy and has everything you may need. Every room has its own bathroom. It is the case when personally the property looks much more better than on photos. I would be happy to return here again

Amazing place. Clean, neat, washer and dryer. Spacious with televisions if needed. They left a bottle of wine and cookies for us. Kitchen with coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Towels, sheets, soap, shampoo and conditioner - they even had toothbrushes. Hair dryer. Bathrooms were clean and updated.

everything is very good. very impressive & fun. the room, kitchen, bathroom, living room are all very clean and complete... thank you very much for the complement. At the dinner table the owner of the house gave us a bonus bottle of wine, wafers and milk in the fridge. all needs in the kitchen are very complete from sugar, coffee, salt, pepper, olive oil and others. very good location we can see the view of the Alps with gorgeous snow from the top floor balcony. Unique house with wooden decoration. the mattress and blanket are very comfortable.. the location is close to everywhere, just walk. my family and I really enjoyed it. our family is lucky to be able to stay here. Everything we need is in this house.. the owner of the house is very kind, friendly and communicative, they also provide information in the form of books on the table about what info we should do and all complete info starting from where is the nearest supermarket, pharmacy, clinic from this house. Our car park is available in the front yard of the house. If I return to Hallstatt I will definitely stay again at this place and will recommend this house to my family and friends who are going on holiday to Hallstatt. keep it up and always success for the future
