Breitnau is very attractive place

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kaiser Tanne

Comfortable, clean and in a great location (away from the busiest parts of the Black Forest). The owner and staff couldn’t be more helpful and friendly, and accommodated our spaniel really well. Beautiful walks from the hotel with spectacular views. Would definitely go back.

We could hear the road from our room, but it didn’t disturb our sleep.

Best place to stay within the Black Forest

Excellent location, very in the centre of the Black Forest.

Big problem: The "Final price that you will have to pay" according to Booking.com is not the one that they tried to charge us. They tried to add 15 Euros per day per person (so 120 more) for "drinks" (while we didn't drink anything and at the arrival we had already agreed that we didn't want this option). They finally accepted this -after the recepcionist gently called her boss-, but we had to go to the car, open our lugagge, take the password, consult www.booking.com to show them that the price to pay was not the one showed on their bill ... a bad experience that they should try to avoid (but probably was a punctual misunderstanding because the hotel, staff and all was excellent).

Excellent !

Hotel is nicely decorated and sweet. Room is spacious, clean, very comfortable, with seating area and balcony. The WC and shower are separated which we like it this way. Hotel provide L’Occitane amenities. Amber parking space. We took the breakfast and half-board package from the hotel which offers incredible value for 4-course dinner served in the restaurant. Food is superb. Different menu to choose from if you are staying for several nights. They also offer choices of home-baked cakes with coffee during tea time. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Kulinarische Überraschung auf dem Land.

Als Gast wird man rundum verwöhnt. Wir haben in der näheren und weiteren Region um Freiburg selten so gut gegessen, wie im Hotel Kaisers Tanne! Der Hauptgang war jedes Mal ein Gedicht.

Leider ist die Whirldüse im Schwimmbad futsch. Ein Whirlpool wäre nebst der Gourmetküche ein weiterer Segen.

Top Küche, Top Personal, aber beim Rest ist noch potenzial nach oben

Sehr freundliches Personal! Top! Sehr gute Küche, top! Sauberkeit im Zimmer war nicht gut, Bettwäsche hatte Make up flecken und es waren einige Haare auf dem Bett und an den Bademänteln. Das Leder am Bett hat extrem gerochen, der Geruch ging nicht aus der Nase… zudem fanden wir, dass der Wellness Bereich mit nur 4 Doppelliegen viel zu klein war und das Wasser war auch nicht warm, waren vielleicht 23 anstatt 30 Grad….

Von A bis Z sehr gut.

Sehr aufmerksames Personal. Essen tadellos vom Frühstück bis zum Nachtessen. Ruhige Lage in schöner Natur. Bushaltestelle direkt vor dem Hotel. Gratisparkplatz vor dem Haus.

Sessel im Zimmer und auf dem Balkon sehr abgenutzt. Ansonsten sehr schönes Zimmer und Badezimmer.

Gemütliches, in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal

Die Lage des Hotels ist etwas abgelegen. Wenn es nicht regnet, dann lädt dieser Ort für Radfahren und Spaziergänge ein. Wenn es regnet, dann wird es etwas schwieriger. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist wirklich hervorragend. Auch das Salatbuffet am Abend war köstlich. Und grundsätzlich ist das Personal freundlich.

Weniger gut gefallen hat uns, dass es keine Lounge gibt, wo man sich ausserhalb des Essens, z.B. für einen Apéro oder einen Schlummertrunk, zurückziehen kann. Die Hotelinfrastruktur ist sichtbar alt. Eine sanfte Renovierung würde ihr sicher gut tun. So sind die Zimmer zwar geräumig, aber die Betten sind zuwenig komfortabel. Auch roch unser Zimmer etwas muffig, so dass das Fenster geöffnet werden musste. Gerade bei schlechtem Wetter sollte es möglich sein, ein Schweizer-TV-Kanal anwählen zu können. Auch beim Fitnessraum und beim Bad wäre eine Renovation sicherlich nicht fehl am Platz.

Sehr netter Aufenthalt und großartiges Essen

Sehr gutes Essen - vielfältig, hochwertige Zutaten und mit Könnerschaft zubereitet! Viele liebenswürdige Details, die verraten, dass es dem Gast hier so angenehm wie möglich gemacht werden soll. Das Personal ausnahmslos freundlich und um die Gäste bemüht. Der Chef geht zum Dinner von Tisch zu Tisch und kümmert sich. Der Wellnessbereich nicht sehr groß, aber blitzsauber. Viele Wandermöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Bus vor dem Haus (mit Gästekarte kostenlos zu benutzen). Insgesamt ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt!

Die überladene Deko ist nicht jedermanns Geschmack - meiner auch nicht. Aber es handelt sich um ein traditionelles Familienhotel und somit ist das vollkommen in Ordnung.

Schönes familiäres "all inclusiv" Hotel zum Wohlfühlen und ausspannen.

Das Essen war sehr gut. Das Personal überdurchschnittlich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die freundlichen jungen Damen (aus Marokko) im Service und Empfang hatten immer ein Lächeln bereit. Sehr schön war auch, dass die Getränke zum Frühstück serviert wurden. Auch beim Mittagssnack wurde bedient. Die Hintergrundmusik war sehr angenehm und leise, aber hörbar. Die Zimmergröße war auch angenehm. Das Haus ist überschaubar, somit gibt es für alles kurze Wege.

Es gibt Fotos von Booking von einem Raum mit sehr warmen (gelblich) und edlen Möbeln, die mich auch beim Buchen inspiriert haben. Diesen Raum und diese Möbel gibt es aber nicht. Das geht aber vermutlich an die Adresse von Booking. Bei der Qualität der Bademäntel gibt es noch Luft nach oben.
