No toiletries in bathroom ; gym is sub standard ; no kettle in room to make tea

Location of the hotel and its private access area to the lake is awesome.

The balcony area attached to the room was not cleaned, so we could not sit out. Also the ventilation in room was poor aa the windows are quite old and since our room was towards the street it was noisy to keep windows open. There was no air conditioning in the rooms, which was already mentioned in the booking.

the location was ideal to visit other surrounding places.

there was no coffee making facility in the room. the restaurant was understaffed. location outside the hotel closed ealiy for dinner. we got there and it was a bit of a challenge for us to get food for the family.

Beautiful garden to relax in right next to the lake. Great variety of food at breakfast, including gluten free bread. Nice pool, not too crowded. Beautiful rooms, nice fancy bathroom, clean overall

The location of the hotel is right at the Titisee, which was great as we were there in the summer. There’s a nice indoor pool too. The hotel has it’s own (part of the) beach/shore. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but still nice and practical. The breakfast is great, the service is great too.

we booked half board and the advertised buffet at night was no longer available. we had to choose a la cart. the prices for meals was very high and the selection was very limited.our waiter could not answer if we had a $40 limit per person or had to pay extra for anything we ate over $40. none of the other guests understood how that worked. at checkout they actually tried to charge us our overages, i refused to pay and showed them my booking and they took the overages off. seems kind of sketchy to me. they also did not have portable fans for the rooms, it was in the 90 degree range all 4 days. very uncomfortable.

No tea coffee in the room, we booked two rooms , one was lake facing but other was road facing . Twin beds.

the staff in the restaurant were horrific.! everything closes in titisee at 8pm too so don’t expect to eat out after about 7pm. Gabriel the barman, made us feel very welcome. his colleagues could take some some lessons from him.

Location is great, swimming pool open 24h/day, bed mattress on the good size/comfort. Parking easy ( attention: no charging points available for EV cars at this moment in time). Bathroom clean. You get chocolates and candies if you skip the daily room cleaning ( of course, the kids were more than happy to skip it on every single day). There's a SMART TV ( with Youtube and stuff) in the room, so kids are easy to entertain if you wanna take a short walk outside.

Restaurant size/staff undersized, it was impossible to reserve a table for dinner ( and the hotel was not fully occupied, I wonder how they manage during the busy periods) Staff at the restaurant not up to the tasks in any of the 6 days we stayed there. Quite often missing empty glasses for water or juice/coffee cups. Breakfast is available till 10:30 but already from 10:00 the trays with the buffet food are no longer replenished or taken care of ( so if you come for a later breakfast ... just do not come at all). Bar should be open till 23:00, but quite often no one was there (2 times out of 4 times we tried to drink something). The bowling/snooker room is a nice entertainment for kids ( everything is in a very poor condition - bowling balls very dented, the bowling alley wobbly, the snooker sticks are broken... kids did not care that much). The sound insulation of the door is almost inexistent, so better pray that you don't end up with noisy neighbours. The hotel is supposed to be smoker-free ... yet every morning the entire corridor was smelling like a heavy smoker slept there ( ok, not the fault of the hotel ... but they can maybe enforce the rules to the guests that need it). And last, but not least, a hotel manager that we probably caught on one of his bad days and he was very disrespectful towards us and our kids). Compared to other hotels in Germany ( and we stayed in quite a few), this one would score lower than all of them.

The receptionist on our arrival was not very helpful. She didn’t smile once and more or less told us it was our fault we took 45 mins to sort out our arrival at the hotel when we were only a short distance away. It would have helped if we were told that we had to access via a pedestrian only road!

The absolutely amazing view from the restaurant. I appreciated the room and lights therapy in the shower. I am also very happy that there was a sauna in the hotel.

The pool water was too cold for us to enjoy swimming. The hotel has a bad isolation between rooms and, if you happen to be a neighbor of a baby you will hear it. There was no cloth hanger to hang the wet swimming suits in the shower. I missed a kettle included in the room equipment.

I had to leave early the premises due to sickness and the reception was unwilling to issue the cancellation invoice so that I can claim with my insurance. The whole process went so unprofessional up to the point that I had to reveal confidential information's about my health which is absolutely inappropriate for the hotel stuff even to ask. Until now I'm still waiting for the correct paperwork.

Nice room. Not too small, perfect for 2 adults and 1 child. Very good breakfast. Staff really friendly and helpful.
