More a hostel than a hotel

Great location, very (!) spacious room, the extra activities are recommended! (Laser tag and high ropes)

Great location, but stressfull check-in and frustrating experience

The location was definitely a highlight—just a short walk to Badeparadies Schwarzwald and the town center, which has lots of charming little shops, cozy restaurants, and ice cream stands. It was a lovely area to explore on foot. The breakfast was okay—nothing fancy, but it had the essentials to start the day.

Unfortunately, the stay was quite disappointing. The hotel has no reception, and check-in is done via an automated machine at the entrance. When I entered my name, the machine showed “no booking found”. I had to try again using the Booking.com confirmation number, which finally worked. However, my friend, who had a separate booking, had a much worse experience. The machine didn’t recognize her name or booking number. We started trying to check her in at around 6:15 PM, and after at least five phone calls, she was finally able to enter the room at 7:30 PM. Even accessing the room required two or three additional calls—a very frustrating and time-consuming process. The room itself was basic: no fridge, no safe, and it was extremely hot—almost sauna-like—which made it very difficult to sleep. We stayed in mid-June, and the lack of air conditioning or proper ventilation was a major issue. I had to keep the windows open at night just to get some airflow, which wasn’t ideal. What was supposed to be a smooth and enjoyable stay turned into a stressful experience.

The hotel is localized close to many attractions (bade paradise, lake) and at this same time well communicated (close to the railway station, and bus stops). There is quiet (I was a little bit scared of this railway, but it occurred to be a very quiet line). Breakfast is simple, but always fresh. The hotel itself offers a lot of attractions (for example interactive terrain game) The rooms are quite big and clean.

Everything was fine, friendly staff and good breakfast It could have been nice to have more croissants and little chocolat loaves (pains au chocolat) at breakfast.the coffee was good and the possibility to have a drink and snack in the PM was very pleasant.

Great, friendly staff. Also a nice variety at the breakfast buffet. We were able to charge our electric car during our stay.
