Great spot in Santa Tereza!

The location is top, although the steep hill to get to the hotel, the view over Rio’s downtown is amazing. The staff was very nice and helpful!

Rooms are not the newest but this was not an issue for us.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Location in Santa Teresa is up a steep hill from the main bars and resturants. The views are spectacular and there's lots of outdoor space to enjoy. Rooms comfortable and very clean.

We were fine but it is on a steep hill which you need to walk up and down to get to the bars and resturants. Very little English spoken, but there always Google translate!

Wonderful Property with a few things to keep in mind

The hotel was clean and well kept. The manager at the desk was super friendly and accommodating. The views were captivating though we had a simple room facing the street.

We had an extremely difficult time catching an Uber since the streets were winding around and probably confused drivers following by gps. Plus the Ubers wouldn’t be close by the area to begin. In one instance 3 Ubers canceled and the day we had to travel we gave up after 45 mins and luckily caught a taxi down the road. There was no breakfast included or to purchase and the hot tub wasn’t working.

Nice low key hotel with close by cafes and restaurants that's a 20 mins drive from Copacabana.

The common spaces were really nice and had a great view overlooking Rio. The area of Santa Teresa has a ton of great restaurants and cafes that are walking distance.

The rooms could've been a bit bigger and the towels would have been better quality. The kitchen in the common space didn't have much utilities for you to use and was dirty from the other guests.

Would return, perfect for a fun and romantic getaway.

The hotel itself is beautiful and the view is amazing! The staff was so kind and helpful and definitely made our stay super special. I loved that our room had a hot tub and that it had AC inside. Felt very private and comfortable.

I wish the hotel offered breakfast, I would've loved to eat with that view in the background. Also the limited time for check-in made it complicated for us who were landing in town after 5pm.

Exceptional

Hotel Sant' Martre is located on top of a hill in Santa Teresa so you have an incredible view of Rio. It was perfect for us because we stayed there fro New Years Eve so we could see all the fire works from above. I don't think we could've had a better view staying anywhere else. The staff is so nice and helpful. Our rooms had an incredible view. We were arriving at the hotel later than their receptions opening hours but we messaged them to let them know and they stayed almost until midnight waiting for us. That was super nice of them. They helped us with our airport taxi the night we were leaving. Overall we had a really good experience and would definitely be back.

Lacks hygiene, staff did not wear covid masks, no pool as in the pictures, outdated pictures and slightly deceiving overall. Expensive for what we got. Took days to obtain information via WhatsApp and make the booking...

Sabe quando você vai viajar esperando só descansar, mas acaba ganhando uma história boa pra contar? Pois é. Me hospedei com meu namorado num hotelzinho no Rio que parecia prometer apenas conforto, mas entregou também afeto. O lugar era aconchegante daquele jeito que faz a gente querer cancelar todos os compromissos e viver ali mesmo, de roupão e café na cama. Mas o que realmente fez tudo parecer um filme bom de domingo à tarde foi o seu Ivo. Seu Ivo é o tipo de pessoa que devia ser patrimônio afetivo do Brasil. Um administrador que mais parece tio de longa data, desses que te tratam com um carinho que nem a sua avó conseguiu explicar. Ele fez a gente se sentir não só bem-vindo, mas querido. E, olha, em tempos tão apressados e impacientes, ser tratado com gentileza verdadeira é quase uma revolução. Ficamos pouco tempo, mas foi o suficiente pra querer voltar. Porque às vezes o que faz a viagem ser incrível não é só a vista, o café ou a cama boa — é quem olha nos seus olhos e te faz sentir em casa, mesmo a quilômetros dela.

A localização faz com que as saídas do bairro só sejam feitas de carro, e nem sempre os motoristas de aplicativo aceitam com muita facilidade corridas para lá. Mas o lugar, em si, é lindo.
