Fabulous location, with luxurious touches, yet homey vibes.

Fabulous location, with luxurious touches, yet homey vibes. The restaurant offers delicious dinners and a great breakfast buffet. The bar also offer tasty cocktails and beautiful views of Santa Teresa (especially at sunset, I highly recommend it!).

Gym facilities would have made the property a 10/10 for me.

Overall, having stayed in several hotels in Brazil within a similar price range, this one did not meet our expectations,

The hotel is nice and located in the very vibrant and historic Santa Teresa area, which we really enjoyed.

We were disappointed by the overall quality of the facilities, especially considering the price. The mattresses and sheets felt quite old, the shower was leaky, and the bathroom overall was not in great condition. Room service took an exceptionally long time, and in general the staff did not feel particularly attentive. The music in the pool area was also very loud, and despite asking for it to be turned down, our request was ignored.

Lovely hotel with great staff and nice decor. Great location.

Noisy outside, single glazed windows with gaps so noisy inside. Various things were broken eg toilet seat in poolside toilets. Pool bar staff were less engaged than hotel staff. Pool bar food and drink offering was fairly low quality and did not match standard of rest of hotel.

This is a fabulous quiet cool/artsy boutique hotel ; we absolutely loved staying here; it’s one of our favorites

We loved being away from the maddening crowds of Copacabana and Ipanema Beach…..however if you are craving beach time be prepared for a 30 minute sometimes windy/traffic drive to get there; but again; we came to relax and soak in all the joy this hotel provides

Beautiful hotel in a great location. The decor was beautiful and felt very relaxing

24 hours before we arrived we were told that part of the pool deck was closed which had the amazing views , there were workman there every day. Plus there was no inside bar to relax ! We did talk to a management and they did organise for us to use facilities of other hotels 20 Minutes away which was nice but a 20% discount on room should have been offered!

Beautiful hotel with great location for exploring Santa Teresa and Lapa. Staff are very kind and welcoming.

Rooms are not sound-proofed at all, could hear voices and activities in the hallways and next room clearly during the day and night. No gym which is unusual for a 5 star location.

The extra care Thayna, at the front desk and Vik , in the restaurant provided was beyond my expectations. I looked forward to seeing them everyday. Also, the chef that made the Mushroom Rigatoni/pasta dish at the restaurant during dinner did an excellent job and needs an award. I had it twice and thanked him both times. It was Fabulous.

The Valentines dinner at the Bar was disappointing due to having to share the Raclette which was barely enough for 1. Good flavor but overpriced for what we received. We ended up ordering room service of 2 burgers and fries, which were delicious. The Valentines day menu for the restaurant was not appealing at all which is why we selected the bar reservation. Our reservations were for 7pm for the dinner, however they were still setting up. The band was nice but we ended up leaving early to enjoy our room service instead.

Majestic hotel, with a wonderful service.

Everything was perfect during our stay. I have a special compliment for Bryan and Henrique which hosted us at the Tereze restaurant, they were so kind and helpful with our food restrictions. i highly recommend Hotel Santa Teresa.
