The room was dirty, there were no slippers or water (they didn't provide it), the toilet and bathroom were very unco

staff were friendly

blood on the counter on arrival, beggars and homeless harassing us as we arrived at the door. bed was covered in a plastic sheet and mattress stained with yellow stains, only 1 pillow each, mouldy fishy smell in the room, dirty carpets throughout the hallway, mouldy bathroom, dipped mattress on one side. breakfast was covered in flies, blood found in another one of our rooms. we were booked for 5 nights and checked out after 1 night we just could t stay in this hotel. we travel a lot and have never checked out after a day. all 9 of the group wanted to leave.

Nice location. Pretty central to the fun at a reasonable price.

Hotel is secure and in a very good location, close to restaurants and bars, but far enough away from a lot of the noise of Lapa. Room was comfortable and clean. Sufficient for my needs. Breakfast was okay. Nice to have. The also had a fully stocked mini-bar which was nice.

location as we were looking for a place nearby nice touristic attractions and a lively nightlife surrounding.

Breakfast was great, staff is presentable, hot water was in abundance, elevator was always there.

Bed was not the best, sheets would come away from the corners part way through the night, having to constantly reset, also more deep cleaning in the bathroom.

All the staff, very professionel and helpfull. Nice hotel. Feeling at home. Convenient location, easy to move quickly around with Uber, supermarkets, old small bars with Brasilian music. Friendly population.

The area is close to Central. Too many homeless. Rio sad reality!

book a different hotel - worst ever!

rooms and entire hotel in very poor condition. strongly recommend to book a different hotel. don’t let the ratings on booking.com or TripAdvisor fool you.

rooms in no way look anything like the pictures. reception service is extremely poor (can’t help with a taxi, no help with bagage or even opening a door upon arrival, have no information on places to visit, most don’t speak English, etc etc etc). rooms are very small, hall ways are dark, damp, old carpets, breakfast should not be called breakfast (the worst ever in 30 years traveling in Brazil). there is not enough space in this review to list all the bad things about this hotel.

Very good

Great place to stay if you want to explore Centro and Lapa of Rio. It's around the corner from the party streets so convenient and safe to walk around. The beds were super comfy and the shower was hot with good pressure.
