The hotel is nice but they scam in your payment

First of all, clarify that the staff and the services are good, but I cannot let this fraudulent practice at the time of payment.

I made my reservation online and they denied me the receipt of payment, and the reason is that the establishment uses a 12% HIGHER currency rate than the official one. Therefore, unless you pay with local card or cash you will be paying an additional 12%. I claimed it and they said it was for "taxes" which is a lie because the 5% tax was already included in the final price. If you go, reclaim the receipt and check with your card what they are charging.

Okay

Seems like it used to be a nice hotel, but now went unmaintained. The kitchen's dishes were tasty and affordable. The pool like on the pictures. Good and bad: the gym is outside of the hotel, they just have a deal with a nearby gym. It's good as it makes it a proper gym, not just a room with a couple of equipment no one uses, like it's in many hotels. Location is great for nightlife.

Needs renovation. Mold in the bathroom between the tiles and little walking flies everywhere, also in the bedroom. Left food on the table for 10 minutes and it was full of bugs, had to throw it away. The beds are hard, even for someone who prefers less soft mattress. Some rooms have the window overlooking the ventilation shaft, n case you care about the view. Wifi worked just fine, but used it only for social networks. It's an open network.

Location is pretty convenient, stuffs were friendly, good breakfast.

Tv had only one channel, very basic room, we ask for iron machine and they gave us the super old style, burning clothes down.. we had a luggage missing that was delivered in the reception and took more than one day for the hotel inform us that the luggage had arrived. When we asked in the reception they had not a clue.They offered some pool table but half of the balls were missing.. was expecting a bit more for this value.

We are 7 people from Mongolia, stayed in this hotel three nights. Location is good, at the Lapa region. It is very close 3 minutes walk to Lapa and Selaron Steps. Also you can see old buildings of the Rio, from your hotel for walk. The rooms are very clean, with comfortable beds, staffs have a enough English. They booked us wonderful city tour. It was very helpful. Thanks to all! Batchuluun Yembuu

Was good for me, but need to set expectations going in

Located right in Lapa amongst lot of noisy bars.Common areas look good and are a pleasant place to hang out. They changed my room twice because of issues. Friendly staff except front desk .. lol. Breakfast was fresh and good variety with continental and Brazilian mix.

Wifi is weak. Rooms facing the road hear lot of noise and music from street(back rooms are fine). Bed was little too hard for me and pillows too soft and did provide support. Lapa is not clean and has a moderate number homeless people, so be prepared mentally. Fridge is packed with items they can charge you for.

Its a hotel

Close to central old town. It was clean, cheap, and the A/C worked. Bathroom was clean good water pressure. Staff were friendly and did speak English so..so... enough to get bye. Breakfast was good, no hot sauce at all or pepper. This is more like a apartment building turned into a hotel. Its more a 2+ hotel than a 3 star. As I said it was okay, not dirty, and in a good location. It met our needs.

The breakfast could have been a bit better. Only nit picking stuff..... overall its a decent hotel for the cost.
