Very close to many good quality food options. 3 minute walk to metro (Botafogo access C). Great breakfast. Very clean and well kept establishment.
They have a weird policy of taking credit card details in case you don't turn up, but also demand 50% upfront to 'guarantee' your reservation. This is ok if you are brazilian and have PIX, but they seem to think an international bank SWIFT transfer is just as easy. Let me tell you - IT IS NOT! I reserved this place the day before I arrived and if I could organise a SWIFT transfer without signing a form AT my bank on the other side of the World, my stay would have been over before they would have received the transfer. After messaging for most of the day, they said I could pay on arrival. I don't know why they couldn't just accept a credit card payment for the full amount instead of just a 'guarantee'.

Breakfast was good, kind personal, good service, clean room.
No windows in room, no elevator (for second floor actually not a problem, but if you have luggage, well....)
We heard every word of our neighbors, all noise from the street, all noise of cleaning service. Fortunately our neighbors were quite at night and we slept well.
