Convenient location at Botafogo beach.

The hotel is very basic, the facilities are old, and breakfast is also very basic. Not worth the money and definitely not a 4* hotel.

Good location, good breackfast, bad internet connection in the room.

1. The team is very professional and polite. 2. Room is clean, good space, comfortable bed. 3. Very good breakfast.

1. I need to work during my period in the hotel. A good internet connection is essential to me. The internet in the room was very bad. I needed to work in the lobby. 2. I did a communication to the hotel team. Someone said that they would go to verify, but there is any improvement in the internet connection.

Overall good but expected more from a Novotel. The room could use a facelift and overall experience should be tidier. Not bad but they can clearly do better!

The room itself was a little rundown and the lights stopped working for no reason.

Fine! But was unclear if there was to be a 'main' offering--eggs, omelettes, french toast, or whatever. Seemed not on the first two days, but then there was a tray of scrambled eggs on the third. So perhaps this might be "spotlighted" a bit more.

There is no dresser in the room, and the only place to put underwear, &c is on the shelf in closet-- which is high up and may not be comfortable for some guests. So perhaps this might be adjusted somehow. ALSO-- the air conditioning was excellent, but cool enough that I had to ask for an additional blanket, which was provided. Perhaps this might be anticipated by having that extra blanket already in the room in case it is needed.

ridiculous customer service

it would be a beautiful hotel with a very good location. But they can cancel your written confirmed reservation two days before arrival that could ruin your holidays...

I made two separate reservations via booking.com for 2 rooms six months(!) before and received a written confirmation. 2 days(!) before arrival the hotel suddenly canceled one of my two reserved books (allegedly due to invalid credit card. Paradoxically they accepted it for the other room...), so we had to split our travel group. So potentially a nice hotel if they change their way, how to treat customers.

bad accessories and iron plank as well.

iron was good heat, but drops fell on the shirt and got burned in. no one could support us for any refund as they think I can't read/understand Portuguese and tried all kind of excuses. they washed it, but didn't work out... i have to absorb my own 120EUR for a new one... Very bad service.

Broken elevator and urban views; decent beds

Beds are comfortable and the breakfast is okay. The staff is friendly and let me check in early.

Only one elevator is working so I just took the stairs up to the sixth floor and back each time I left the hotel. If not, expect to wait at least five to ten minutes to use the elevator. Most rooms have a view of run-down apartment buildings, so stay somewhere else if you want an ocean view.

Very comfortable beds, not so nice location.

The mattress was incredibly comfortable! The room was clean and big enough.

The location is not nice but is very central. The bathroom is very weird, it looks like a closet but it’s big enough. The hallway was extremely cold.

The location is great. The interior is nice.

The bar is overpriced having the supermarket option around the corner. The special requests and an early check-in in my case was a joke: nobody cares really. The room service girl was indifferent selling me $30 wine like I called her for nothing. All in all a bit more respect could do better.

breakfast, breads and tapestries were made in hotel's kicthen, very good. Airconditioner functioned very well floor and room.

when we asked to in charge of recepction why we had not allowed to purchase ticket for Pao de Azucar by web, unfortunately we have not received adequated reply.
