Beautifully maintained, historic villa in the hills above Rio. Extensive breakfast buffet in a beautiful solarium. The pool and gardens are very refreshing after a long, hot day in the city.

The hosts were quite friendly and provided lots of info about the history of the home which was quite interesting and about local restaurants. Amazing views. Multiple comfortable options to hang out with view.
Heated towels, rolling window shades felt like I was in Germany again! Tasty breakfast and attentive staff. Location to Santa Theresa shops, murals, restaurants close by.
The throw rug was stained in our room &dresser drawer smelled strongly of mildew so didn’t use. Alot of rules (charges for things-pool etc.) like being at Oma’s. We could have benefited from hot tea in afternoon/evening with mugs with chilly weather and recovering from colds. Only option was to pay for espresso in styrofoam cups. No one around for planned Check out in AM- a staff tried to get us to come back and wait for desk staff but we were catching uber to airport.
