We liked everything. We had the 3 course set menu both nights. The food was exquisite and the service excellent. Although on paper the price seems a lot, you get extra courses and the quality of the food and presentation make it worth it.
As a B&B venue its great value. The room contained everything we needed. Given the temperature we appreciated the fan, jug of cold water and the option of having a top sheet rather than a duvet. The toiletries and refreshments were all high quality. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
It's a great location for walking and water sports. We would definitely go back.
We would have liked the option of some fresh fruit for breakfast to go with yoghurt. Rather than just the two options available.

I stayed in a wonderful suite. I wished I had stayed for two days instead of just one, The food was quite good, but the portions were small. I realized after the fact that they did not charge for dessert if you skipped it. You can also order other dishes from the pre-fixed course if you are still hungry and pay extra for them,
The portions were small, which forced me to eat bread, something that I try to avoid during a long trip. I could have ordered another dish if they have explained to me that I could have done so.

Great location in Pooley Bridge and local walks. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. Imaginative and delicious evening menu. Charming and helpful staff. Our second stay as we had enjoyed our previous one so much.
