The Sun Inn set in a fabulous location in Pooley Bridge
Lovely friendly atmosphere host Sarah and her staff are a credit to The Sun Inn Good value for money re breakfast
Could do with a shelf in shower and handle on inside of room door to make it easier to open

Warm, welcoming, comfortable, quiet and lovely food :)
On first arrival it seemed a very noisy place in the pub, however it was Valentine’s Day! Staff were lovely and check in easy. Very very quiet in the rooms, which was ideal for us! With the pub being so busy they let us order food and have it up in our room as we just wanted a quiet night due to being on a multi day hike. A massive bonus there was a bath in the room and the water was lovely and hot! Room was warm, beds comfy.
Defo not a deal breaker but as we wanted an early start back on our walking route we had to skip breakfast as it was too late for us! But certainly didn’t spoil anything for us.

Cosy, fab location and very pet friendly.
Location was superb, great to walk with my dog. Shops very close by plus other eateries and pubs if you want a change. Chris was very friendly and helpful. Cosy with log fires always lit. Shower was powerful with lots of hot water. Friendly staff too.
Single bedroom was quite small, the mattress on the bed was mega uncomfortable, I hardly slept the first night however after letting the owner know, it was resolved the same day.

Apart from the shower problem it was a good place to stay, would I stay there again … yes definitely
Lovely location, polite staff, good beer , very clean and comfortable bed
The room was dated and could have done with a spruce up, unfortunately the shower drain hole was very slow or partially blocked, by the time I could get a decent water temperature the shower tray had filled with water, I didn’t want to flood the place, very disappointing after a long days hiking, I would have reported the shower when we checked out but no one was around

The inn was warm and welcoming
There was loud music coming from the kitchen till it closed at 8pm, the shower drained so slow you had to stop in the middle of a shower to let it drain.
