Lovely picturesque location, only 15 minutes drive to Keswick. Very nicely decorated and a very clean room and bathroom. Breakfast was basic but everything on offer was nice. Staff friendly. Plenty of free parking, always a bonus. A couple of nice shops for essentials on the doorstep.
Our room only had a bath with shower attachment on the taps and no wall clip, no shower curtain/screen - not the end of the world but would chose a different room with shower in future if possible as a preference. Due to very low beams you have to duck to get into a couple of the beds and cannot sit up on one of them. Food and drink a tad overpriced for what it was.

The staff, from arrival to departure, were welcoming, helpful and friendly. The location, in the centre of Pooley Bridge, was ideal as a base for walking and touring the area. The room was comfortable, warm and the veranda provided a very pleasant place to sit and enjoy the quiet of the evenings. The choices and quality of the included breakfast was superb. All in all our 4 night stay was a most enjoyable experience.
The bathroom, although functional and attractive, lacked any surface on which to put toiletries.

3 floors up, small room for a family of 4 , now shower, expensive.
