Authentic German experience in Heidelberg! We LOVED our stay here!

All the staff were warm, welcoming and receptive to requests. They thought there was going to be one person in each room. When I requested the beds to be separated, they sent 2 people to help immediately and re-made the beds. Rooms were immaculate! We had a view of the Heidelberg Castle. Breakfast buffet offered many options! So much to choose from! Everything was delicious! Can't beat the location to Heidelberg Castle and the tram! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here!

True gem of Heidelberg

This hotel is in a fantastic location—right by the Castle, the pedestrian path lined with shops and restaurants, and the Christmas markets. Having parking available in the underground garage was a huge plus since we had a rental car. The front desk is staffed 24/7, and everyone we interacted with was polite and very helpful with local information. Our room was spacious, spotless, and offered a beautiful view of the city. Breakfast was enjoyable, mainly continental, with the added bonus of coffee drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, and hot chocolate. Overall, this is a true gem and I highly recommend it for anyone staying in Heidelberg .

More protein options at breakfast would have been nice.

Perfect location to visit the Altstadt and the Christmas markets! Easy parking, adorable and quiet room with a beautiful view of the castle, and wonderful staff. So fantastic to be right under the castle!

Perfect Location, perfect stay

This is the best location, the funicular to the castle is in the basement of this hotel, it couldn't have been easier, parking was easy as well, we never touched the car until we left, we were so close to everything, we had an apartment arrangement with 2 good size bedrooms, a bath with tub & sink, & the toilet was in a separate room along with a sink & mirror, which I really liked, we had an outside patio area with a phenomenal view of the castle which was directly above us. Breakfast was good, no hot food, typical German breakfast fare, juices, coffee, yogurt, etc

Fabulous location

Upon arrival we were greeted with warmth and kindness from Jasmina. She gave us a wonderful overview of things to do. The hotel has a fabulous view of the castle/fortress. Our room was spacious and clean, very quiet. Breakfast was wonderful.

Perfect location

Fantastic location, the room was very comfortable and we loved our terrace. Breakfast buffet was lovely as was the service. Would highly recommend.

A gem. We got lucky with this one.

The staff member at reception on our arrival greeted us warmly and offered us a lot of information to help us enjoy our stay in Heidelberg. Our room was spacious (good for a family of four). I was glad our window did not open on to the terrace, because smokers used the terrace, and I would not have liked the cigarette smoke drifting into our room. The view of the castle from the terrace was just as we hoped for - excellent. We enjoyed watching the castle lights come on at dusk. The location of the building was splendid for simply walking outside and into the heart of the old town. Don't be put off by the hotel being on top of a parking garage! Also, there wasn't any disturbance at the hotel from the funicular that runs to and from the bottom of the building, since it runs quietly and is shielded from view by trees. The breakfast was of good quality and servers were attentive. Every member of the desk greeted us warmly. Books and magazines and umbrellas were available to borrow. We felt very lucky to have enjoyed this accommodation.

It wasn't pleasant to have cigarette smoke, from people on the terrace, drift into the dining area when we were having breakfast. Also, some of the rooms opened directly into the small breakfast dining room, so I was glad our room was located further away, along a corridor. I was hesitant about the hotel entrance being via a parking garage elevator, but that was okay.

Location is superb, the Hotel is on top of a Parking Garage (12) which also houses the Funicular Railway station that takes you up to the Schloss. The old town is between the Hotel and the River.

Wonderful

Our room was lovely and clean and had a view of the old town rooftops and river. This hotel has parking and also the funicular station directly to the castle, right under the hotel, very convient. The hotel is in the old town and is close enough to walk to every site, including the old bridge and the castle. The breakfast is fresh and tasty. The staff is friendly and recommended a great restaurant, wirtz haus zum spreisel. We enjoyed our visit!

Happy In Heidelberg

Large rooftop garden with a view of the town and castle. Very convenient to walk to the "Old Town" from the hotel. Great parkade adjoining the hotel with easy access to the elevators. Great breakfast buffet with very attentive staff.

Parking fee at 20 Euros PER DAY was very expensive. We would have appreciated free parking included in the hotel price ! We notified the staff about the dust bunnies under the bed. After the vacuuming was done ( not properly ) there was still schmutz coming out from under the bed.
