Cozy, warm, beds with a historic hotel. Get the breakfast for sure and upgrade to a suite.

The location was closer than I thought. Right next to the bridge in oldtown. The rooms were so comfortable and cozy. We were in Junior Suite 2 that overlooked the castle on the hill. Amazing view! Breakfast was delicious! We will be back in the Summer time hopefully :). Wonderful stay.

The location was absolutely gorgeous, being right next to the bridge, and it was convenient too. There were multiple Christmas markets within walking distance, and many restaurants. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of windows for natural light. They also let me order a much needed travel accessory to the hotel (it was very small), and accepted the package for me, which was very, very nice of them. The beds were very nice, and had plenty of pillows to choose from.

Pretty much everything about the hotel was perfect, aside from the shower. The shower functioned great (maybe a little too well, as the water pressure was crazy high), but the handle for adjusting the heat was a little too easy to bump into, and gave little resistance, so while showering it was very easy to accidentally bump the temp to super hot, or super cold. There was also a not insignificant amount of dust on the tops of the window and door frames, but nothing too terrible. The wi-fi was decent, but there were moments where it would drop or slow way down.

Beyond Comfortable! Excellent Customer Service and Personal Touches Made Our Two Nights Perfect.

We stayed for two nights at the Hotel Zur Alten Brücke in Heidelberg and our experience was top-notch—we give it a 1000%! First off, the facilities were exactly what we needed. The room was easy to enjoy, and the bed was so comfortable that we immediately felt rested and ready for our days of exploring. The Wi-Fi connection was stable and fast, which was great for planning our itinerary. The housekeeping staff were efficient and kept our room immaculate throughout our stay. The customer service truly blew us away. The staff were all super good and friendly, making every interaction pleasant. But it was the little details that we absolutely loved—especially at breakfast! Our names were displayed on a small blackboard on our table every morning, making us feel so welcomed and special. We also had the pleasure of meeting the Owners! The wife was incredibly warm and chatty, and the husband was right there helping with the cashier. Seeing the family actively involved in the day-to-day operation adds such a genuine, human touch to the stay. All of this combined—the comfortable room, the excellent service, and the personal attention—made our stay a perfect ten. We are definitely ready to come back!

Great stay, but parking a bit of a hassle.

Had a great time!

Great breakfast, beautiful view, fine staff, comfy beds, and -- rare for Europe -- a HUGE bathtub. The room ... well, we had the 'best' room, and it was GREAT EXCEPT ......

..... if you're over five feet tall, there's a danger of banging your head in several spots, and I did. In one sense it's kind of charming, rooftop suite and all, but ow.

Highly recommend, would stay again.

Highly recommend. The properties decor was very charming and romantic. Great location next to bridge, old city and castle. Corner room and bathroom on second floor was spacious, clean and had a good view. Breakfast, not included in price, was very good. Dinner in the interior court yard was our favorite, excellent food and atmosphere. The staff was friendly, helpful, and professional.

Not recommended for overnight charging of electrical cars.

The facility was okay

The hotel claims electrical car charging in the search via booking.com. This not the case. This should be corrected bij the hotel and by booking.com The only practical way to charge is 4 km away. The parking garages in town are full, have defect chargers, or do not work with international charge cards. The hotel did not communicate about this proactively.

Lovely hotel in a great location

Great location. Close to the square for shopping and restaurants, short walk to take cable car to castle, or walk across the bridge to Philosophers Way, surrounded by Old Town cafes, churches, everything! Comfortable beds. Quiet, even with small restaurant patio below (not the large patio outside of hotel). Junior suite had a lot of space with 2 chairs/ottoman.

The location is very central easy to walk to old town. The room is spacious and comfortable. The staff we came across are friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner are delicious.

A lovely hotel in an ideal location with walks along the river and close to the Old Town.

Perfect location by the river and the motorcycle parking with the old town close-by. The hotel was nicely furnished and the courtyard where breakfast was served was lovely. The young lady on the reception was very friendly and welcoming. A lovely town to visit.

For our motorcycle, parking was very close-by. Not sure where you'd park if travelling by car. Nothing to not like.

Cozy in style

Very nice rooms, cozy and stylish. Breakfast was good, too. Perfect location for exploring Heidelberg. Bus stop around the corner (direct and frequent service to main station), and taxi stop about 100m away.
