Lovely hotel!

The location was fantastic. The room and bathroom were very spacious and comfortable. Heating was adjustable.

Nothing. Be aware of some outside noise at night of people walking past.

Beautiful views and fantastic location!

Beautiful views from our room to the river and old bridge. Gorgeous! Also liked that the bed split into two so our kids each had one twin bed instead of sharing a bed. Convenient breakfast. Loved the location and very walkable to everything.

Excellent Stay With an Unforgettable View

This hotel has an unbeatable location right in front of the Old Bridge in Heidelberg—truly breathtaking scenery from the room. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of fresh and delicious options. The staff was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond, even helping us arrange nearby parking. We also loved that the Christmas market was just around 200 meters from the hotel, making it easy to enjoy the festive atmosphere. Overall, a wonderful stay and highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Holländer Hof. The room was clean, functional, and offered good space for two people. The location is perfect—right in front of the Old Bridge and within walking distance of the Philosophers’ Way and Heidelberg Castle. The staff were friendly and efficient, making our stay very pleasant.

There wasn’t any particular disadvantage during our stay.

Great hotel staff and location.

Great location right next to the Heidelberg bridge. Close to old town and within walking distance to everything. Rooms are dated but clean and a very charming hotel. Staff was very friendly and spoke great English. Breakfast is included fir an extra fee. Plenty of choices on the buffet and fresh eggs and bacon were offered. Elevator was a nice amenity not offered in many other hotels.

Cant think of anything I didn’t like.

Welcome on arrival together with helpful advice from Jan Worsinger was exceptional. Great location with a room overlooking historic old bridge and river. Discounted car parking in one of the city's car parks about 5 mins walk from the hotel. Close to all the attractions and the funicular up to the castle.

Memorable stay in a lovely, traditional hotel of exceptional quality in the heart of Heidelberg

We loved the hotel so much that we changed our plans to stay here on our way home, as well as on our outward journey (by train) to Prague. Four nights in total. The hotel is perfectly located overlooking the Old Bridge in the heart of the old town; we received a warm welcome and all staff were kind and helpful; our first room was spacious and beautiful, with a balcony, the second room smaller but just as comfortable; pillows are outstanding!; we chose the smaller ‘business’ breakfast which was quite adequate for our appetites; and a special mention must go to Jan in the breakfast room, who is an outstanding asset to the hotel - he was charming, helpful and friendly - a great start to each day! We loved Heidelberg and will return to the Hollander Hof without question.

We would have liked a walk in shower (not sure if the hotel has any?), as climbing into the bath to shower was a little awkward for us. Just a minor point, but for a longer stay it would have been more of an issue.

Stunning Altstadt Views with Exceptional Service

This hotel offers a stunning location in Heidelberg's Altstadt with beautiful river views. What truly made our stay exceptional was one staff member—a young man with a distinctly German name starting with W, I'm afraid I didn't catch it exactly—who was an absolute gem. He was friendly, helpful, and incredibly patient, easily ranking among the nicest hotel staff we encountered during our entire 3-week trip through Germany. We were also able to leave our suitcases in the hotel after check-out, and they called us a taxi for us to get us to the location where we took our shuttle to Frankfurt airport. Our room was spacious for the two of us, clean and comfortable. We only stayed one night but would have loved to extend our visit. For anyone wanting to experience the charm of historic Heidelberg this hotel is a perfect choice

We had a wonderful time in a beautiful historic hotel in a great location. I would love to return.

Love the historical architecture, the location and staff. The view of the river and old bridge was fantastic and I really appreciated having the view.

No air conditioning, but luckily it wasn’t too hot and the fan and opening windows at night really made it comfortable. A coffee maker in the room would have been great. But it was a wonderful stay.

We Loved the Location

This hotel is right where you want to be, super location. Our room looked out over the bridge, great view. We walked all over the old town. Parked about 5-10 minute walk away.

Being there during a hot spell, the room had no air conditioning and was uncomfortably hot. There was a fan in the room but it really did not help much until the sun went down (late). Our room smelled musty which was unpleasant.

Excellent Location overlooking at the Rhine River!

Location was excellent looking over to the Rhine River. Breakfast was excellent. Front desk servicers were most helpful for suggesting restaurants and navigation to central train station.

The temperatures were quite uncomfortable in our room. The room / door next to our room banged for two hours.

Perfect location for a short stay.

The location was superb. It was hot so AC would have been wonderful but the fan in the room did help.

There was a little joke/mildew in the top of the shower and the facilities were a little dated but still lovely. Very loud outside as it’s right near the bridge.

Location is superb in a very nice hotel. Staff is very kind and helpful. The room was comfortable, clean and very nice decorated. We didn't book with breakfast.

In our room we didn't get good wifi signal. In other areas of the hotel it worked fine, but in our room was hard to connect. They may need to extend or improve the network a little bit. Beds were not very comfortable, mattress too soft and pillows too thin for our taste

I Love this Historical Hotel and Location and have returned there many times over the years.

Location, Location, Location! This is right by the Historical Walking Bridge and in Alstadt. Short walks to restaurants, shopping and Cathedral.

Parking is not onsite and requires searching for open parking spaces in the available parking garages. I recommend the Hotel needs to offer valet parking and take care of parking.

Beautiful location decorated in historic charm! The lounge area was absolutely lovely to relax and have a drink and plan our activities for the next day! Location was awesome! Walking distance to everything in the Altstadt! Transit with the buses to get to and from the train station was easy and affordable! We also used the train in the Altstadt that was walking distance! We really enjoyed our river view from our room and walks along river and the philosophersweg hike!

We liked everything about the property! The water from the shower got the floor wet but perhaps just needs a tighter seal! Would have loved a coffee machine in the room but they prepared and nice tray when we asked with pretty china cups!

Perfect location

The location was amazing- right on the old city bridge! Everything was within walking distance and the hotel itself was very charming and clean.

The sealing on the glass door of the shower wasn’t working so our bathroom floor was always covered in water afterwards, but otherwise everything was great.

Perfect location at the center of the old city with everything within walking distance. Room was bigger than expected with the pillows & beddings really soft & comfortable.

No aircon but the weather was cool during our stay so it was not an issue
