Apart from experience in the restaurant and lack of Tea/Coffee making facility I would recommend this hotel. It is a

In old Heidelberg. Room and toilet clean. Lift to all floors.

No tea/ coffee facility as I like to wake up to a cup of tea/coffee Hotel restaurant expensive and the night I ate there a dog was constantly howling at the next but one table for it’s owner to feed him. We had finished a rather expensive meal, €183 for 2, before restaurant staff asked the owner to do something about the dog

Nice hotel but parking and the location of our room which might as well have been on the moon was too difficult for us.

We thought the location was good,close to the pedestrian zone and the river. The room was clean and bathroom were clean. We did not have breakfast with our rate.

Our room was at the very top of the hotel, #405. Yes, an elevator to floor 2 but then 2 long stairways up was very hard on two old people with luggage. We were almost to the top when a female staff offered help. The parking garage in the Kongress Hall, P8 was a long walk too dodging cars and bikes. You can drive your car up to the hotel to drop your luggage off although it is frowned upon. We did to leave and at that point no one minded.

Nice traditional hotel with a fine restaurant. The room is very cozy and beautiful, the location is excellent just in the very heart of the city. The breakfast is excellent, with high quality of food.

It’s pricey, the bottle water in the room is not complimentary.

Perfect base for a weekend visit of Heidelberg Old Town

Great location in Heidelberg Oldtown. Lots of great cafes and restaurants within the vicinity. Most of the points of interest for tourists are within a 5-minute walk - the Old Bridge, the Church of the Holy Spirit and the furnicular to go up to the Schloss Heidelberg.

This is really minor, but during the check-in, we were expecting to receive more information from the reception, such as the breakfast option, the wifi password and the check-out time. We were only given the key and room location and had to come back for more info.

Handy and comfortable hotel but some street noise at night

Location very central in old part of city and near river. Room was comfortable and electric fan helped cool the warm room due to heatwave.

Beyond the control of the hotel was the street noise on Friday evening As it was very warm we had room windows open to help keep cool, but this allowed rowdy street noise from the front of the hotel. in the middle of night and some vehicle noise in the early morning. Would seek somewhere quieter but as I say not the fault of the hotel which was good. A rear view room should also solve this problem

Noisy during night due to late night revellers so difficult to sleep. However the town was busy due to a firework event and it was a Saturday night, so it was probably noisier than usual (and not the fault of the hotel)

Fantastic stay with amazing customer service

For me, there were many great things about the stay (listed below), but the best part was the customer service. I I initially planned my trip to Heidelberg in the late fall, but due to personal reasons I moved it to the winter, with the hopes of visiting the Christmas market. Sadly the market was canceled, but I still opted to head to Heidelberg and both Phoenicia and Janina made sure to make my stay as comfortable as possible and ensure I was well looked after, even before I arrived. Given the changing circumstances of covid, the rules about visiting changed pretty frequently. Not only were they stellar is responding back quickly and kindly to my multitude of questions with useful input, they also proactively messaged me whenever there was a new update regarding the rules to ensure I was fully prepared for my arrival. Cannot thank them both enough for their support and the only sad part of my trip was that I only had an opportunity to meet one of them! I feel I need to go back to meet the other in 2022. 😊 Outside of the great customer service, I found the room (single) to be very cozy, with a nice, modern bathroom. In particular, the shower head was great and highlight for me. 😊 The bed is also very comfortable and appreciated the TV in the room. Location wise, it was absolutely perfect. It's near some of the best highlights of the city, but also just off a side street so it's quiet in the area. Without question, I'll be visiting Heidelberg again and staying at the hotel!

A coffee machine would have been nice in the room, but otherwise it a perfect stay.
