Hotel Schnookeloch

The fact that they could provide us a very late check in as we got late to enter the city was great. The location of the hotel near everything a tourist would like to see was also great! Overall I enjoyed the hotel and its location.

It is an old building that has been converted into hotel, so there are a few compromises that one has to make, like no lift, like the noise from outside if windows are opened (which you have to since it's hot), and the frequent knocking at the door in morning for early check out reminders was a bit odd. the rest was all ok!

It was a bit hot when we visited and the room did not have any fan or AC unit. The room would be better ventilated with a fan available. A fan should be placed in every room for a more comfortable experience.

Close proximity to the old town and walking distance from the station.

It probably would have been better in cool weather but it was two flights with a heavy suitcase to the second floor and the room was very hot. Breakfast was a limited choice, portion control on cereal, lacked any fruit and only tomato available, small glass of orange juice. Also the check in and breakfast is round the corner from Where you are actually staying. There is also a bar below and we couldn’t have the window open early evening due to the smell of cigarette smoke and chatting!
