Perfect Location. Clean and comfortable rooms. Good breakfast.
No Lobby, no bar, not even a place to sit and enjoy a drink or so.

The hotel is small but very charming. Our room looked out over the Nekar River and the view was lovely. It is in a great location to see historic sites. The buffet breakfast in the lower level was very good.
Being a small hotel, there is not someone 24/7 at the desk but they work to accommodate you if you are arriving outside of their hours. The hallways are narrow and can feel a little cramped. This hotel is not for people who want a concierge and cocktail lounge.

Very friendly staff. Room was nice and comfortable and well located, although the “river view” was out the side window, across the road, through the trees.

The location was perfect, right next to the river and one block away from the main street in the old town. Rooms were beautifully furnished with high ceilings - very romantic. Bathroom was nice and modern. Staff was super helpful and very responsive and helped my partner check in before me since my flight was delayed.
A/C could have been a bit stronger, but we visited when temps were 33-34C (92F+). They did have a standing fan in the room prior to our arrival which helped.

Annie at the front desk was wonderful! She was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect to walk around Heidelberg and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the quaint building as well.
Parking was difficult

The hotel staff was excellent, and the hotel's location affords an easy walk to the downtown area. Beautiful and comfortable rooms, breakfast was fantastic, and we would definitely stay there again!

Awesome location
They didn’t make up the room or change towels during a 2 night stay

breakfast ambiance was relly nice - we liked the cellar
Not the fault of the hotel, but parking in the area was limited and several local garages were closed.

Hotel staff was super nice, friendly, and accommodating. Unloading and loading the luggage in front of hotel was excellent. Rooms were gorgeous. Location of hotel was superb. Would go there again. Highly recommend!
Needed to park in city parking garage. Cheapest one is $16 per 24h.

1, The location is quite good. It is close the old bridge and also convenient to go the tourist points and restaurants.
2, I love my room. It is big and clean. I could see the beautiful river view from the window.
3, The staffs are good but their working time are short compared to other hotels.
Everything is fine.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. The Hotel is close the the old town center. It is very clean and the room was well kept.
The room was very small with barely enough space to put down and open a suitcase. Some of the rooms face towards a somewhat busy street, so that you have to keep the windows shut for a good nights rest.

The welcome from reception was very warm. They broadly respected my desire to speak German. We are very familiar with Heidelberg, so did not need much guidance. The room was a good size and with three windows, it had great views across the river and across to Philosopher's Way on the opposite bank. Breakfast was excellent. It looks like there is a dedicated member of staff looking after it, and she was helpful and friendly. The hotel is very conveniently situated, being near the centre of town, and on a bus route direct to the Main Railway Station. I have attached to this review the views from two of the three windows in the room.
I might say two things. Firstly, reception is not manned all the time. The hotel is quite small, and I guess they cannot justify the cost. But, if you arrive later, make sure you have a plan. Secondly, being near a bus stop where buses run late, our room, at least, was subject to noise from revellers. I will balance this by saying I would be happy to have that room again.

Location was excellent.
The bed was terribly uncomfortable. The lady at the desk was unfriendly and rude.

Family group of 7. Our 3 person room we lovingly called thr gnome home because of the cool sloped ceilings. My 6 ft tall nephew bonked first, then my niece and at 5ft3 inches I bonked too! But we absolutely LOVED the space. The AC in the room was fantastic. My parents were on ground floor, so they liked that. My Brother and his wife had the middle floor, and liked it too. There is an elevator, so that was wonderful for baggage.
We had a larger van, so only one garage was tall enough for parking. It was fine, just not very close by.

Location. Really good breakfast, but it was extra.
Pillows were way too soft and offered no support. Also, only one pillow each.

Everything is exceptionally high quality, the proportions and decor feel comfortable and refined. The breakfast is a delight, downstairs in a beautiful cellar with a generous buffet. The location is perfect, on a quite back alley of the old town. One of my favourite hotels.

location; comfort; quietness;
It is very cosy being a small hotel and not being surrounded by lots of other guests; the isolation from the external noise is absolutely great.
Well I would have expected some kettle with a small choice of teas and coffees. It's not a big cost and could help a lot after the journey to relax a bit.

Very comfortable hotel in the Old City of Heidelberg. Shopping, restaurants and sightseeing are all at walking distance. The room is very clean, and the bed is comfortable. Staff is helpful, making sure check-in and out is smooth. No private parking available, but that is to be expected in the Old City. Heidelberg has an absolutely beautiful old city, and for sight-seeing it is very much advisable to have a hotel here.
Hotel is right next to a road, with traffic also during the night. Didn't bother us too much though, but if you're a light sleeper, maybe ask for a room facing away from the river (road is between the hotel and the river).

Great location, besides the river, in the old town area.
Exceptional breakfast option.
Really soundproofed rooms even ours is on the ground level, no traffic noise.
No private parking of the hotel, but several public parking lots close by

Great selection
All in all it’s a great property.
It is ( in my belief ) understated in terms “perception “
The word “ motel” conjures up ( to Australians) a small property: whereas this property is literally huge.
The bar, outdoor areas and general amenities are excellent.
