A very nice place to stay in Heidelberg

The room is very comfortable. Coffee and tea are freely available. The patio was very nice to spend some time in the early evening. Breakfast was enjoyable, even though it takes a bit of a walk to get there.

Staff answers to questions were a little confusing.

Excellent stay

Close to the old town. Lots of restaurants and sites close by to include the castle. City train right out the door. Breakfast was excellent and also serves a very nice dinner at the hotel.

Parking can be a little tough. They have underground parking so reserve if you have a car. Vans won’t fit.

Good place to stay.

Comfortable room with a good sized bathroom. Very clean. On the back of the building so quiet, even with windows open. Close to the station.

Not keen on having to go up 2 floors to get a cup of tea from a communal area.

I can definitely recommend this place

The rooms are wonderful, and the bathroom was spectacular—spacious and equipped with everything you could wish for. The room itself was large, with a beautiful “castle-like” design, and even offered roof access, which was a special touch. Although the hotel is quite big, it is very well managed. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was a truly enjoyable experience.

Stunningly beautiful.great furniture but placed to optimize space

Beautiful place! It was quiet in the annex building. And our rooms faced the courtyard. Great staff!!

Parking was tricky and tight and inconvenient. Furniture is a bit oddly placed (doors do not open completely) to optimize space.

The hotel was very clean. The price was fair - we did not know it included breakfast but were very happy with the buffet selection. We were closer to the train station for arrival and departure. We were a 20-30min flat walk to town.

We stayed on a Friday night and were given a roadside room. This was rather noisy even with the windows closed and therefore also very warm. We did however discover earplugs in the bathroom 😊

Nice hotel on the edge of the quaint old town

The rooms were large. We rented an apartment and a hotel room. The apartment had a small kitchen (no oven.) Comfy beds are provided. The rooms were clean. The staff was friendly, very helpful and responded to all our requests. They spoke English and German well. The location is just on the edge of the old town so everything is very close to walk or you can take a bus to town. The town was lovely and there was plenty to look at. It would have been nice to walk the river if it was Summer time, but it was quite cold. I would stay there again.

Several things didn't work in the beginning. For example, the microwave was not plugged in. It did seem like not many people use the kitchen. The TV had problems on and off and the internet at first did not work. However they fixed all of these things in short order. They had a sofa bed in the living room but wanted us to pay per night for bedding. There were 4 of us and we had initially planned for the couple to stay in the hotel and the two singles to stay one on the sofa and one on the double. Instead they rebooked the hotel room for 2 separate beds.

Hate this hotel and hate Booking.com

The room I was given the first day had no air condition. Was told to go across the street up two flights of stairs with all my luggage. Was told no elevators. Would not recommend this hotel

Nothing was done to correct having no air condition, By the way will never use Booking.com No help to resolve these issues. Plus had the same issues in Ibiza with the hotel - no air conditioning for the room

friendly customer service, very accommodating, professional and great disposition. positive and cheerful.

Room walls we’re scuffed and need painting. bathroom floor was mildewed and needs replacing. Place needs a professional interior design renovation to take it to another level of class, comfort and cool atmosphere. Loud noises and uncomfortable bed. Being truthful and honest, if you want it, to improve your product.

Pleasant stay in a convenient located hotel. Breakfast great, room cleanliness could be better.

Breakfast was very good, big variety of cereals, seeds, nuts, fresh bread, chees, fresh fruit.... Staff very kind and helpful.

Floor in room did not seem very clean. When we arrived there was a big dirt spot on floor beside the bed, as if somebody had spilled a drink. Cleaning personell don't seem to wipe floor properly after a guest leaves. Dirt spot was cleaned though after I requested to have it cleaned.

Nice hotel but could be better

The restaurant is very good but you need to book, especially at weekends. My room was a bit dark as the window was quite small but the bed was very comfy. The free umbrellas to borrow were a nice touch. The female receptionist was lovely and very friendly but there was a male receptionist who was incredibly rude.

The lighting in the bathroom was all ceiling light so not the best for putting on makeup or shaving. A lit mirror would have created a better light and ambience. There is no area to just sit in. The rooms don't get cleaned unless you ask for it the day before. This is fine but if you are staying 5 nights or more, replenished toilet rolls would be welcome.
