The location was good, close to the old city centre, in front of the river

It’s due to renovation, quite expensive for what it offers. Shower lacks pressure, heating and AC are so old that I never saw a system like that before. Nonetheless it’s comfortable but it could be so much better and modern

Rough bed, nice amenities

The location was nice and able to walk to many restaurants and the hospital as we came with an appointment in mind. The pool and fitness area were great 👍

The bed was dreadful. Just bars in my back the whole night, highly disappointed for the cost.

Bad experience with payment.

I was charged 3x the deposit that was stated on booking. Amount of deposit and for the stay was blocked on my card. Then on checkout I had to pay again for the stay. And the money blocked on the card was released after two weeks!

Comfortable stay away from the downtown.

The room was large, the pool and sauna were nice, lots of options for the breakfast buffet. Front staff were helpful in recommending restaurants. It was quiet at night.

The rooms were quite dated, the hotel is a bit far out from everything in town but there was a tram stop not far.

Disappointing hotel.

I could park my bike undercover.

On arrival I was given a double bed and had to argue till I got twin beds that I had actually booked!! There was broken glass on my daughters bed. There was no milk sachets with the coffee making facilities.

Easy access by road. Overlooking the river. Nice outdoor space for food and drinks and restaurant has good views across the river.

Last week’s room (outward journey) needed refurbishment. This weeks - (return) totally different with modernised decor and amenities including coffee machine and much better air conditioning.

Marriott Experience

Location and staff including front desk, restaurant and housekeeping

Only one point, that every time before we arrive and during booking provide a request, to keep all items including coffee mugs, flipflops and tea & coffee for 3 adults, as we take a suit for 3 adults. But unfortunately this we find always missing after checkin. But this has been our experiences so far in all Marriott hotels in Europe.

Pleasant hotel a little further from the Old Town but riverfront is a bonus.

Great location on the Neckar River, with a lovely outdoor area. Grill restaurant has great wait staff during the day and night.

Rooms on far side of building get a lot of road noise and balconies there have no view, request river view for better experience. Rooms are a little tired looking, with shower in bath and double beds are very hard.

Breakfast expensive but worthy, very kind staff, airport shuttle (I would suggest the hotel to inform clients in advance, so that they do not need to deal with the german railways), position is 20 minutes walking from the center but the walk is nice. There is sauna and a pool that are nice

I would remove the moquette from the rooms; it is antihygienic. The air condition is noisy and the hotel provides too warm guilts even during summer time (but this is something that all hotels do :)).

One of the TOP Hotel which I have been!

The breakfast was very good, fresh and testy, everything what you only could wish. Cappuccino was perfect too. The room was big, clean, with a view on the river. Top location-10 min walk from main railway station. Definitely will recommend this hotel. Check-in and check-out was very fast, very friendly and high professional staff.

From the territory of the hotel, the river is practically not visible due to tall thick bushes. A deposit of €50 is taken from the card, you will learn about it upon check-in. And they return the money for a long time.

Nice staff at reception that was able to resolve problems fast and professionally.

Swimming pool was closed! Hotel Management failed to inform guests pro actively. They just put a small note in front of the swimming pool room. The cleaning staff woke us up at 8 am. Removed soap on day two. Removed a glass without providing another one. The dresser doors were really loud and clunky. No coat-hangers on the walls. The Showerhead tube junction was leaking.
