Fine.

I felt safe, the beds were comfortable and I had a decent sleep. The location was also great.

Very strange that two strangers could sleep on a double bed (two single beds put together). The lockers were so tiny I couldn't fit my backback, only laptop and other essentials. This place really annoyed me.

Warning to all women and backpackers

Booked a female only dorm and at 2am there was a man in our room, the reception gave him a bed (even though check in should have closed at 11pm). After some persuasion we got him to leave and change the room, but what do I pay extra for a female dorm for if that happens?! Also they charge you 6,50€ per item (!) to store your luggage, and then it's just a big room anyone can get the key for at reception without any ID checks. Pretty audacious in my opinion.

Extremely comfortable and clean, great value for money

The room was excellent for a hostel, clean and very comfortable. 4 beds per room, 1 bunk and 2 individual, with a nice bathroom in the room. Towels, shower gel, and shampoo provided.

Location is convenient from the train station but in the wrong direction from town, so it takes about 30 minutes to get to the main areas. The lobby, social area, and bar/cafe could have been a bit nicer

Room is very very small for two single bed and for 1 bunkbed alltogether for 4 person. Too small, no storage for hand luggage.

Highly recommended

Since I already appreciate the Meininger concept from Cologne, I chose it again in Heidelberg. This hotel/hostel looks brand new and offers everything a travelling backpacker needs at a low price: clean rooms (I booked a bed in a female-only room), a washing machine and dryer, a modern guest kitchen for self-catering, and a spacious common area. Everything was perfect!

Great accommodation for large families!

Convenient location, great parking, clean accommodation with great options for large families. Quad rooms was sufficient for our 4 x teenage children and the restaurant and onsite facilities were top notch. Will definitely be our go to accommodation in Heidelberg.

Nice and quite cheap!

I only stayed one night, so didn't spend time in the common areas on the ground level. I booked a female-only 4-bed-room. There were 2 other women and it felt quite tight in the little space. But I do appreciate that they had 3 bottom and only one top bunk. After a certain age you don't want to crawl up there anymore... :-) Bathroom was pretty spacious, especially the shower. Complimentary shower gel and soap were a nice touch. Location is alright. Distance to the main train station is walkable, but to downtown it's a bit far. So depends what your needs are! The only thing I didn't like is that they make you pay to keep your luggage in storage after your check out and you want to keep exploring the city.

Worth the money

Super new, clean and beautiful rooms. It is more like a hostel, it has breakfast, but it also has a common kitchen for those who wanna cook. Nice common area even with toys for kids. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is a little outside the city center, but super close to trains, buses and trams, so easy to reach anywhere.

Not many closets and some there are pretty but not very functional (triangular shape).

Bathroom was a good size and clean, breakfast had plenty of choice.

The twin beds were next to each other and no tea or coffee in the rooms. Expensive for what was offered.

Do not go there with the car. They have a parking but it is small and it is full in the afternoon. They say to park on the street, on the white line is free, but you won't find a place. You will have to go to the station to park your car...

Some of the personnel was really nice. Nice that there is a bar and a 24/7 reception.
