There was a good bakery downstairs. The neighborhood of the hotel was good.

Special thanks to Michele for his patience, kindness, and outstanding assistance. He truly made the experience even better. I would gladly stay here again.

Amazing location, just steps from strain station. Clean, spacious, and very comfortable room with great facilities. The location was convenient, and the staff are beyond excellent. They are incredibly kind, professional, and always available to help or answer any questions with a smile. Private parking is a huge benefit. Excellent breakfast with a lot of options.
There is mini market just outside the hotel which has everything you need. Lockers for baggages very useful when your train is in the late evening. We would happily stay here again.

Location to Station and Town centre.
Large comfortable bed and walk in shower
Appreciate the armchair as well as desk chair.
Very clean and serviced every day
Discussed with owner :-) - the water temperature limiter on the kettle. 60-70 degs C does not make a good cup of tea.

Beautiful hotel in the best location, just a few steps from the train station. Recently renovated over a year and a half ago, the location is residential so it’s extremely quiet. Fantastic amenities, an excellent breakfast and the staff are very knowledgeable and truly friendly. If you’re looking for peace without being in a crowded area, this is the perfect choice. Very central and within walking distance of everything. Highly recommended.

Amazing boutique hotel with impeccable amenities, great location (100m from train station to Cinque Terre), and wonderful service from all the staff. The hotel was clean, excellent location, near the main roads and attractions locations, even near the stops of sightseeing buses. The staff are very friendly, they didn't hesitate to explain and give information right at the moment when we arrived and checked in, and during our stay they were very helpful to make reservations upon request, arrange transfers and give advice where to go and how to make the best of our stay. The room is big, very clean and super comfortable, true modern European style! The breakfast was also very good. We felt pampered and enjoyed our stay in this beautiful hotel and everything was above my expectations since arriving until leaving.

The location was perfect. Comfortable and modern rooms that look newly refurbished. Everything looks of a high standard, much better than the photos on the site. The room was clean and of a high standard. The staff were very helpful and were a pleasure to deal with.
The breakfast is fresh and tasty. The staff overseeing the breakfast service were incredibly attentive, making sure everything was replenished quickly and that guests had everything they needed to start their day off right. Whether you’re in the mood for a leisurely breakfast or need a quick bite before heading out, the flexibility and quality of the offerings will meet your every need.
Many restaurants, coffee shops, and stores nearby. The area is safe.
Would definitely stay again.

This was our third stay at this lovely hotel, and since we are already planning another vacation here next year, it’s safe to say that we were extremely happy once again.
The rooms were fresh, spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated.
We really appreciated being able to park our car free of charge in a private parking area close to the hotel. The overall décor of the property is elegant and thoughtfully designed, and the breakfast was absolutely outstanding.
It’s a perfect place to stay if you want to experience the Cinque Terre without the crowds. The atmosphere is amazing, everything is clean, well organized, and the service is impeccable.
Michele welcomed us upon arrival and he was absolutely wonderful — so much so that we decided to extend our stay by another night. It was truly one of the best experiences we’ve ever had.

Very comfortable room, close enough to train for an easy walk but still close enough to city centre. Also, it's safe for going out for dinner and a wine bar later at night. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was polite and I enjoyed staying there.

Great location 5 min from the main train station. Just in the heart of La Spezia town. Extremely comfy mattresses, clean rooms and very modern, many extra pillows and also blankets. Refrigerator, free coffee and tea sachets. You can also buy coffee ( any kind ) in the main hall for 0,6€ - which was superb. Toiletries, towels are free of charge and if u want u can rent bath rope and slippers. Very quiet - surprisingly even during NYE’s celebration we could sleep easily.
None, all was perfect

We loved our stay. Self Check-in was clear and fast and we went straight to our room on arrival. Whenever we had a question, the team answered immediately.
The room was spotless, quiet, and stylish, with a great bed and sleek bathroom. Slippers and robes are optional add-ons (clearly stated), which we found transparent and fair. The location is unbeatable a few minutes from the station and the center, ideal for visiting the Cinque Terre. The historic building has charm; the elevator is compact but reliable. We managed fine with a stroller and luggage.
Breakfast was a highlight. Generous pastries, perfectly pulled cappuccinos, and fresh local options with the freedom to choose our favorite café each morning.
In short: boutique comfort, smart tech that actually helps, and a caring, responsive team. Highly recommended. Would book again without hesitation.

Perfect location located in the heart of La Spezia. Walking distance to all the things! The hotel was stunning, clean, and elegant. The rooms were large by European standards. The bathroom shower was a dream: the clawfoot tub was comfortable and relaxing. The location is perfect.

We stayed in mid-September and absolutely loved our experience. We had a Superior Room at the front of the building (probably the best category you can book). Even though the street outside can be busy during the day, the soundproof windows kept the room perfectly quiet at night.
The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with a fresh and modern style that made us feel at home right away. Everything felt fresh and thoughtfully arranged, exactly what you hope for after a long day exploring.
The staff were outstanding: professional, friendly, and always ready to help with advice about the trains, ferries, and local restaurants. Breakfast was excellent quality, with plenty of fresh choices to start the day.
The location couldn’t be better just a 2 minute walk from train station and within easy reach of the ferry terminal, making it the ideal base for visiting the Cinque Terre.
Overall, this is a top-quality boutique hotel that delivers both comfort and convenience. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily return the next time we visit the area.
9.0 / 10.0
The room is walking distance from the train, and surrounded by small restaurants to fit any budget. We walked the main street in the evening, it seemed to be a social time for locals and tourists.
My first time using a non-hosted hotel, we were very apprehensive. We missed understood the entry instructions and had to reread a few times. After figuring out our error it was wonderful.
We were approached by plain clothes police (?) Asking us where we were staying what we were paying. I was thinking it was a scam and about to ask them to call a uniformed officer, when they terminated the discussion. This left us with a bad feeling and passed on exploring LA Spezia, we moved on to Riomaggiore.

We have just enjoyed a really lovely week at this hotel. The room was well equipped, and the housekeepers changed the towels regularly. The beds were comfortable, the staff were very friendly, and we also enjoyed breakfast every day. There was a wide variety of choices for breakfast, with options for celiacs as well (something not to be underestimated in Italy!). The hotel itself is perfectly located. A great base for exploring the local area and the five villages. We would definitely come again!!

My friend and I stayed 4 nights at Cinque Terre Gateway and it was simply the best experience we could have hoped for!
Michele was amazing. He has such a warm, welcoming personality and was always available whenever we needed assistance or advice. His suggestions really made our trip special.
Breakfast was a delight every morning, with both indoor and outdoor seating, delicious homemade pastries, and fresh Italian coffee to start the day right.
The rooms were spotless, with modern bathrooms and excellent showers. A real pleasure after a long day exploring. We also really appreciated the powerful air conditioning, which kept the room cool and comfortable, and the fast WiFi connection that made planning our days so easy.
Another huge plus was the convenient private parking. It literally saved us, because in Italy during high season it’s almost impossible to find a spot. Having that peace of mind made our stay even more enjoyable.
The overall atmosphere of the hotel is cozy and relaxing, and the location is absolutely perfect: everything is within walking distance, shopping streets, great restaurants, the train station to reach the villages of Cinque Terre, as well as the beach and marina.
We truly loved our stay and are already looking forward to returning next year. A hidden gem in La Spezia , highly recommended!

We stayed at Cinque Terre Gateway for our final night in Cinque Terre after attending a wedding an hour away, and it was the perfect choice. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and friendly. They truly make you feel at home!
As a couple in our early 30s, we really appreciated the relaxed yet charming ambience. One highlight, as many other guests have mentioned, is the extreme cleanliness.
The hotel is beautifully decorated, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Our room was calm, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. We really enjoyed the retreat after having explored Cinque Terre.

Just had an amazing stay at Cinque Terre Gateway. Very clean rooms, comfortable beds, brand new bathrooms with great shower and no noise despite location at the center of the action. Very good breakfast. Location is fantastic with plenty of restaurants choices.

Very worth the money.

Great position with down-town La Spezia a 5 stroll down a pedestrianised shopping street. Didn’t mater for me as I was driving, but the hotel is very handy for the railway station. Room was very comfortable and clean with very good A/C. Staff throughout from reception to the housekeeping team were charming and very efficient.
The breakfast buffet was a lovely mixed spread with an a la carte option if you wanted, and the hostess made lovely coffee.
This was the best stay we've had in 10 hotels so far on my trip in Italy.
Highly recommended if you want to visit the Cinque Terre.

The hotel is ideally located just a 2-minute walk from La Spezia Centrale train station, simply cross the street and you'll find it on the left. If you're worried about the area being noisy or sketchy, rest assured: it's quite the opposite. The hotel sits in a spacious, well-lit square with a clean and safe atmosphere. The building looks modern and well maintained, and the interiors are beautifully designed with great attention to detail.
Our room was spotless and incredibly comfortable. The soundproof windows completely block out any outside noise, making for a peaceful night’s sleep. The blackout curtains are perfect for those who prefer total darkness in the morning.
The amenities are exactly what you'd hope for: fast and free WiFi, an easy-to-use smart TV, and a modern shower that's simple to operate. There are several cafés, restaurants, and a supermarket just around the corner. Very convenient before heading off to explore the Cinque Terre or coming back after a day of hiking.
But what really made our stay special was the staff: genuinely kind, helpful, and always available for recommendations or assistance. Their hospitality made us feel truly welcome.
Whether you're staying for one night or several, this is the perfect base to explore the region. We would absolutely stay here again!

I am absolutely delighted with my stay at this accommodation. I chose this location to explore Cinque Terre and it was a good choice.
Very nice boutique hotel with excellent location just two minutes walk from the train station yet it was not noisy and I felt safe. It was also a short walk from the centre, where there are plenty of museums, shops and restaurants and it did not take long to walk to the port either.
The inviting atmosphere has provided me with a wonderful sense of comfort; my room is spacious and cozy, and the staff have been exceptionally friendly. My suite features a generous bathroom and dressing area, which adds to the overall experience. Additionally, the prime location allows for easy returns to rest between visits to the five attractions. Breakfast was plentiful. There was a great selection and something for everyone! Overall, I am thoroughly satisfied and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

We stayed in this wonderful hotel on a road trip to Sorrento. The Cinque Terre has been on my bucket list, and I wanted to stay somewhere special. This hotel certainly was. First of all, there was a welcome letter together with bottle of Prosecco in our room. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are well equipped and spacious. The beds so comfy, the showers were the best. Breakfast at the hotel was first class, having a choice of breads, pastries, cold meats, smoked salmon and a hot option, to name just a few. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely return. One night was not enough. If you are looking for a relaxing place, with excellent hospitality, Cinque Terre Gateway is your place! I can’t wait to come back next year!
