Great hotel in convenient location. Very friendly staff and tasty breakfast. Missed quality coffee but lots of places around to get my coffee hit. Paid parking by hotel is at the station which is not very convenient. We found paid on street parking close by. Just check if it is not time limited. We left car from 5pm till 10.30am for less than $10.

This hotel was the perfect place to stay when going to Cinque Terre if not staying in one of the towns. It was about a 5 minute walk to the train station in a nice area with some good restaurants near by. The hotel staff was great and held onto our bags for us since we arrived prior to check in time. They even put our luggage in our room when it was ready so we wouldn’t have to take it up the stairs.

It was our second stay and it was just as lovely as the first one. The staff is very nice and helpful, and the breakfast is really good. It’s very easy to walk to the centre of the city.

Everything was so pleasant about this hotel! The staff were very friendly. Only thing I wish it gave better information were about parking. There were no parking lot in the premise. It’s 500m away. Also I wish it had better amenities.

To our complete surprise, Hotel Poet may go down as the best accommodations we have experienced in Italy to date. You are greated by friendly multi-lingual staff in a climate controlled, modern hotel, that is extremely easy to walk too from La Spezia's train station ( 500m ) Once we got to our room, we quickly realized the pictures were accurate, if not underserving the property as it looked and felt fantastic. Each room has a digital control for the A/C, which we set to 19*C as it was 35+ everyday we stayed, and found it to be the best night sleep we've both had in months. Windows have black out curtains, normal curtains, and shades offering you a truly relaxed and comfortable environment to relax in when trying to avoid the heat. Breakfast is a definite must add as well, not only did it make the process that much easier, it's also fantastic. Large assortment of options for almost any level of pickiness ( I am quite picky myself ). Wifi was strong, not sure what previous comments suggesting otherwise we're talking about, at least from our experience. Showers have rain drop heads, and lots of space, which feels rare in the otherwise cramped style most of Italy conforms too. Our only suggestion would be to add conditioner, as shampoo and body wash just aren't enough in this heat. Couldn't be happier with our stay!

Good shout out to the 2 ladies who checked me in upon arrival - extremely friendly and helpful! Walking distance to the train station and all the cool cafes & restaurants. Small but tastefully designed room. Wall is so thin that one could hear my neighbour talking next door. Would suggest to the mgt to perhaps consider putting a water kettle in all the rooms.

We choose The Poets Hotel as we had stayed there previously. It is well located, near the main station in La Spezia to explore the region. The hotel is comfortable and our room was spacious. The evening reception staff were friendly and helpful. Checking in and out was very straightforward. Reasonably priced for services offered.

The location was excellent for our trip to Cinque Terre, an easy walk to the train station. The staff were lovely and helpful. Parking was tight even for our small rental car but it was doable and super convenient to the hotel. You have to reserve in advance as there are only a few spaces. We also loved the prosecco we got as VIP Expedia members. It was a fun stay.

Nice hotel in a great area. No elevator to level I was on, but the ladies offered to carry my bags. No thanks. In room refrigerator makes some noise. Construction in the alley where my window was facing. No view at all. Breakfast was reasonable; I saw they were making speciality coffee for some but this was not offered to me.

The property was undergoing renovations (of which we were not made aware of) with scaffolding right in front of our windows with people going up and down which meant having to leave the blinds closed, creating constant noise and rendering our balcony useless. The rooms AC was limited (capped) and not effective. Was denied a new room based on “availability”. Ended up checking out and finding another place to stay. Would not recommend!

Good location for Station, shops and restaurants. Weather was great but hotel hadn’t switched from heating to A/C so we were too hot indoors - end of April 25. No tea or coffee in room was disappointing. Rest was good.

This hotel is close to train station (7 minutes walk) and shopping street (lot of restaurants to choose). Staff are mostly young, energetic and friendly females. Our bed is comfortable and shower cube is very spacious. Breakfast is great for everyone. We stayed there for two nights and enjoyed our stay very much.
