Value for money and super nice

Very nice and friendly staff; ladies at the reception were super nice and helpful. Breakfast was nice too with diverse options (pancakes/waffles; eggs and bacon; cornflakes; cold cuts; cheese….). Room was ok; the best part was really really big bed and comfortable mattress. As I was traveling with car garage was a huge plus!!!

Comfortable and relaxing

The location near enough to the train station and possible to walk about all places of interest in La Spezia. The staff were professional, friendly and multi lingual. Personally loved the space for guests where you could chill in the evenings, connected and free hot drinks. The rooms were very cosy and warm for this winter period. Loved the general decoration of the hotel. Definitely recommend.

Perfect spot to explore the city and the sorounding.

Nicely decorated hotel in the middle of the city center. The garage by the hotel is handy even for bigger cars. Train station is 10 min walking. The room was very quiet. The stuff was very friendly!

La Spezia gem

Great, friendly hotel in a good location, convenient for the train station (but not too close!) For visiting the Cinque Terre, and close to the bars and restaurants in La Spezia. Good sized room and bathroom

The lighting in the bathroom wasn't great, but thats a very minor gripe.

Great location when walking Cinque Terre. Comfortable beds and excellent facilities.

Rooms were a great size with very comfortable beds and an excellent shower. We stayed here when walking the Cinque Terre so its close proximity to the train station was a real bonus, as were the good showers and beds! A short walk into the heart of La Spezia for some of the best food we had in Italy. Definitely recommend staying here if you are walking the Cinque Terre. Breakfast was also included and coffee was great!

Well situated in heart of La Spezia

The hotel is very well situated in the old centre of La Spezia, within easy walking distance of everything (including the port). Friendly staff.

The decor was trying to be edgy-modern but felt a bit incongruous with the rest of the hotel. We opted for breakfast which wasn't worth the €20.

Acceptable but definitely not worth the price

Nice location and hotel is quite modern

They charge extra for the parking and they don’t inform you that there is a weekly market after advising you to park outside - u end up with your car being towed. The breakfast is poor in terms of quality - nothing exceptional - below average even. Inside parking is 35 eur per night

Good Hotel, Ideal Location

We stayed at The Poet for one night. Our room was very clean and ideal for a one night stay. I presume that we would have been given a larger and slightly more comfortable room if our stay was for longer. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good. The hotel is in an excellent location, approximately 6 or 7 minutes walk from the railway station, and within 10 minutes walk of the Marina and central La Spezia.

Perfect hotel, ideal to visit the 5 terres !

The location is perfect (close to the train station, very calm but still close to the animated areas)! The staff is super nice and really helpful, the breakfast is really good and you have a lot of different options. Our bedroom was really nice, decoration « neutral » everything you need. I would definitely recommend !

Modern, clean. Easily reached from train station. Staff was fantastic - Elisa is a gem. There were extra blankets in the room already no need to ask for them.

The parking lot is very far away and hard to find. The new car was damaged in a very small place. There is a private parking lot at the door that cannot be used. The room is very ordinary, and it is not cost-effective!
