Great place to stay

A dated cozy elegance that was quite inviting to us. We had a lovely view of the garden from our balcony. Breakfast was good, location was just a few minutes from the sights. I would definitely stay here again. The bus transit hub is directly across the street, making it easy to access. Our room was large and comfortable. Lugano is a wonderful place to visit.

At first glance it seemed removed from things. But once we got our bearings, it was easy to get anywhere. We arrived late and the reception was closed. All worked out, but we had to call to get the codes at a specific time. If for some reason we couldn't have, I don't know what we would have done.

Finding the limited parking was challenging…

Location close to a Christmas market

Fortunately only 4 of the 5-6 unmarked parking spaces in the bushes ($34 Euros please) were taken in front of the hotel.

Delightful hotel in the perfect location

You cannot fault the location - so close to the bus station, and a short walk to cafes and shops, and of course to the lake. And yet, being so close to everything it was also very quiet. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the breakfast had many options and we always got a table, even though we were in Lugano during the Swiss National Day long weekend (a happy accident)! The beds were comfortable and there were different pillows to choose from. The shower was good, and the included toiletries were a shampoo/body wash and a conditioner. We stayed in the suite and there was an additional sink in the bedroom. Air conditioning was only in the front room, it the bedroom, but it flowed into the bedroom so that was fine. We hadn’t stayed in a 3-star for several years and we were blown away by how lovely the whole stay was!

There isn’t much to say that’s negative. The only tiny point is that the suite is slightly split level, so it’s a bit of a trip hazard at night.

Nice Hotel at the center of Lugano

We had a nice room which had recently be renovated, aircon worked, also our room faced to the back - so it was overall pretty quiet (it is in the City still). Location was great, very central. We parked in front, 25 CHF a day, which is a lot cheaper than surrounding parking lots. Only limited parking spaces available so I recommend writing the hotel in advance and reserve a parking if you need it. Staff was super nice.

Breakfast was nice, but breakfast room a bit less cozy.

Preferred location for touring on public transport

Nice, modern furnished junior suite, well isolated towards the main road, right at Lugano Centro main bus terminal, free bus pass for the length of our stay. Free piccolo sparkling wine. Breakfast buffet was good, many choices.

Bathroom flooded twice, drainage in shower needed cleaning or too small (rain shower head). Hotel has no lounge to rest, just breakfast room which can get pretty crowded. Some local choices at breakfast buffet would have spiced it up.

Excellent Stay in the Heart of the City

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The building itself is beautiful and perfectly located right in the city center, making it easy to explore everything on foot. The staff were incredibly friendly, flexible, and accommodating – they really made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was bright, very clean, and comfortable. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which offered a wide variety of options.

In the Heart of Lugano

Location was perfect within a block of the lake and right across the street from the bus station. You also get the Ticino ticket with your stay. However, we had to have the kind lady at the desk print it out because booking.com didn't send the voucher....until the day we checked out. It allows free public transportation and discounts to area attractions. Free breakfast was decent, mostly continental. They had scrambled eggs and barely cooked bacon available. The room was clean and had a cute little balcony.

The pillows were absolutely awful! The bacon needs to be cooked. I don't fault them much on this as most folks there don't eat it, but it was basically raw.

We loved Lugano. So much beauty all around the city and the hotel grounds.

The hotel was right across from bus depot and an easy walk to most everything. Lovely breakfast with a good selection of both hot and cold items. The staff could not have been more helpful. I especially liked the lounge area on the third floor where my whole family could gather.

While grandparents room was quiet, the larger jr suite was plagued by noise from the big music festival nearby. The air conditioning did not seem to be working efficiently which necessitated the open windows.

Well designed room with lots of surface space. Particularly comfy bed. Air conditioning really did work. Natural light bathroom. Hot water and WiFi fine. Adequate breakfast. Seating in shaded garden. Coffee machine on landing was much appreciated.

Well located hotel with great breakfast, but NOISY!

Fantastic location, great breakfast and very helpful staff. Coffee-making facilities at the end of our corridor. Bar fridge in room. Ice and glasses willingly provided on request.

Very noisy. Traffic, car horns, rev heads in cars with loud exhausts, we had the lot. We were in what was described as a garden view room, but there was no garden, only a large paved area used by delivery vehicles and close to the main road. Prior advice about which buses to catch, from where and in which direction, would have saved the drama about locating the property. Google maps were somewhat helpful, but if we had been told to catch the No 2 or 4 bus to Lugano Central we wouldn't have wandered around in circles. No matter, we worked it out in the end. Other properties have been much more precise in their directions. Also, receiving long emails entirely in German when they knew we were Australian, was plain dumb.

I received an upgrade, a bigger room. Breakfast is available at 7 and the employee who works there is very kind. You can reach by feet the lake and few restaurants downtown.

Into the room there is no mirror. You have only the little one in the bathroom. There is also no coffee machine in the room. Old tv.

A great place to stay in the centre of Lugano

The hotel is centrally located with secure underground parking. It is modern and exceptionally clean. Even though we had a large dog, we were upgraded to a newly renovated room that was both spacious and comfortable. However, the outstanding feature of the hotel was the staff. The very kind lady on reception was extremely friendly and helpful and gave the impression that she genuinely wanted hotel guests to enjoy a memorable stay. Nothing was too much trouble. This is now our go-to hotel in Lugano.
