Extremely clean and peaceful place. One feels very safe there. The attitude of the nuns is very kind, everything I asked them for - I got it. I also received a free ticket to Ticino with many discounts.The location is great, close to the entrance of the cable car to San Salvatore mountain, next to the boats. Bus number 2 takes you to the Central Station in a few minutes

Good place for the short stay

I liked the location with beautiful view and also there were no noise. I slept very good without interruption.

There was a stale smell in the room and on the blanket. After airing room it disappeared.

An oasis of calm in a beautiful setting

We were warmly welcomed by the kind sisters who did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. The house itself is beautifully furnished and the location convenient: just a few minutes from the ferry docks and a short bus ride from the centre of Lugano.

Superb accommodation and welcome.

Sister Taranzia and Francisco the caretaker gave me a warm welcome and their hospitality went the extra mile. I was offered a meal even though the kitchen was closing and enjoyed the tranquil setting of the guesthouse restaurant. I would thoroughly recommend Santa Birgitta for it's high quality accommodation and friendly staff. Breakfast times were flexible to suit my travel needs.

Nothing comes to mind as the guesthouse was excellent.

Schon die Lage ist sehr gut, mit Bus ab Bahnhof Lugano direkt nach wenigen Stationen erreichbar. Uns hat die prompte Kommunikation und die Herzlichkeit der Schwestern sehr gefallen, sie waren sehr bemüht, dass alles für uns gut ist. Die Zimmer waren schön warm, die Betten sehr gut. Das einfache Frühstück war in Ordnung.

Zum Frühstück ein bisschen Käse und Früchte hätte das Ganze noch abgerundet. Aber es war auch ohne ok

Empfehlenswert für ein, zwei Nächte

Die Schwestern sind sehr nett, alles ist sehr sauber. Das Zimmer ist etwas ältlich eingerichtet, aber es hat genug Stauraum und sowohl im Zimmer wie auch auf dem Balkon einen Tisch. Preislich ok. Einkaufsmöglichkeit gleich auf der anderen Strassenseite (auch sonntags geöffnet). Die Dusche ist zwar etwas klein, aber der Wasserstrahl der Duschbrause ist genug stark. Wunderschöner Garten um das Haus.

Das Hotel liegt an einer stark befahrenen Kreuzung: Der Strassenlärm ist (auch bei geschlossenem Fenster) immer zu hören. Die Wände und Türen sind sehr dünn: Es ist sehr ringhörig. Es gibt keinen Raum für Fahrräder, aber immerhin einen Fahrradständer draussen. Wie schon öfters hier geschrieben, wäre es praktischer, wenn die Schlüsselanhänger kleiner wären. Es hat kein Oberlicht im Zimmer, aber die Nachttischlampe hat auch gereicht. Ich habe mich am Anreisetag spontan entschlossen, meinen Aufenthalt um eine Nacht zu verlängern. Da es über Booking nicht funktioniert hat (schliesslich wollte ich nicht riskieren, das Zimmer wechseln zu müssen), habe ich eine Anfrage an die Unterkunft gesandt. Die wurde auch ziemlich bald beantwortet. Leider war so die zweite Übernachtung 25 % teurer. Aber schlussendlich war ich dankbar, dass es so einfach geklappt hatte.

Séjour dans un hôtel où l'hospitalité n'est pas un vain mot !

L'hospitalité des soeurs. Avant mon départ je ne retrouvais plus ma carte de crédit après avoir vidé plusieurs fois mon sac à main et sac à dos et vérifié toutes les poches des vêtements. La sœur de l'accueil a été très gentille et compréhensive et a demandé à celle chargée de faire le ménage dans les chambres de chercher attentivement mais rien ! La sœur de l'accueil m'a même proposé de m'avancer des devises suisses car je n'avais que quelques euros sur moi. J'ai finalement retrouvé ma carte glissée entre deux documents de mon sac à main.

- La proximité avec 2 routes très bruyantes (Heureusement le double vitrage des fenêtres est efficace). - l'aspect très "monacale" des chambres

Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo per Lugano, posto tranquillissimo, stanza molto pulita e silenziosa. Non lontano dalla stazione ferroviaria di Paradiso, raggiungibile in qualche minuto a piedi.

Lage ziemlich laut. Frühstück sehr einfach

Das Zimmer sollte 2 Einzelbetten haben, hatte aber nur eines. Das hat mich nicht gestört, da das Zimmer genug gross war. Alles sehr sauber auch das Bad.

Die Lage direkt an einer Durchgangsstrasse. Auch mit heruntergelassenen Storen und geschlossen Fenstern war der Verkehr noch hörbar. Dank der Klimaanlage konnte ich gut schlafen. Sie hat den Strassenlärm übertrumpft. Kompliziertes System mit 2 Schlüsseln. Die meiste Zeit waren die Tore geschlossen. Einfaches Frühstück. Erst am letzten Tag war es umfangreicher. Keine Pflegeprodukte im Badzimmer vorhanden.

Lage wirklich toll! In 5 min am See, 2 Buslinien in unmittelbarer Nähe. Sehr sauber, PP sehr grosszügig und im Preis inbegriffen. Ebenso die Ticino-Card. Die Schwestern waren sehr nett!

Zimmer äusserst bescheiden und irgendwie in den 60er Jahren stehengeblieben. Frühstück sehr bescheiden. Frühstückszeiten extrem knapp 08:15 - 09:00 Uhr. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht überein. Dachterasse ist super - leider einfach gar nicht einladend gestaltet.

Für Kurzaufenthalter der Ruhe möchte ist dies ein ideales Preis Leistungsangebot.

Es ist eine sehr schöne, gepflegte und gut gelegene Anlage. Der alte Styl wurde beibehalten. Der Anfahrtsweg ist etwas unklar da es viele Einbahnstrassen hat und Google Maps den falschen Weg fahren will. Zu Fuss schnell am See.

Leider wurde uns mitgeteilt dass das Frühstück bereits um 07.30h beginnt. Vor der Türe war jedoch ein Anschlag dass erst um 08.15h gefrühstückt werden kann. Da wir bereits früh Termine hatten, konnten wir kein Frühstück zu uns nehmen.

Ordentlich, sauber und sehr nette Schwestern

Nähe zur Bushaltestelle und Bahnhof, See fußläufig entfernt, Supermarkt in der Nähe. Sehr freundlicher Empfang und sehr gepflegtes Gebäude. Die Schwestern waren überaus zuvorkommend und nett. Gutes Frühstück und sehr leckeres einfaches Abendessen. Besonders praktisch ist es, dass man das Ticino-Ticket nach dem Checkin erhält.

Das Bad ist in die Jahre gekommen, es gibt leider keinen Duschvorhang vor der Badewanne.

Prima hotel, vriendelijk personeel ( zusters) op een gunstige locatie.

Gunstige ligging, schone kamer, parkeerplaats op eigen terrein zonder extra kosten, vriendelijk ontvangen.

Ontbijt was karig en had gezien de prijs van de accommodatie wel uitgebreider gemogen. 1e dag wel een lekker taartje bij het ontbijt. Dat dan weer wel. Zat geen airco op de kamer. Was voor nu geen probleem maar kan in de zomer gemist worden.

Ich komme sehr gerne wieder ins Casa Santa Birgitta

Die Schwestern waren sehr nett, erzählten uns etwas über das Haus, ihren Orden und wiesen uns darauf hin, dass es im 4. Stock eine Terrasse gibt, von der aus man eine gute Aussicht hat. Es ist ein sehr schönes Haus und die Verbindung ins Zentrum oder zum Bahnhof ist sehr gut. Die Bushaltestelle ist nur ein paar Schritte entfernt oder zu Fuß erreicht man in wenigen Minuten das Seeufer. Von dort zu Fuss weiter bis ins Zentrum ca. 15 Minuten. Das Frühstück ist ganz gut.
