Refined luxury in stunning location

Been before. Amazing location. easy check in.

Breakfast was disappointing There was a poor range of fresh fruit and no seasonal fruit salad as advertised on menu. Not sure if issue with staffing but had to wait a long time for tea and coffee and hot breakfast to be served. Hot food was a bit poor . For the price a bit disappointed nearly 300 I am due to stay in July again but hope it has improved a bit. But staff amazing and hotel lovely as always

Great hotel but a little overpriced

Great size and location. Accommodating for dogs.

Couldn’t access the garden at the front. It was inconvenient eating breakfast in the orangery and having to walk through hotel to get the cold buffet and walk back to my table. I think have g to pay £25 per dog is not necessary

Great Hotel - Great locations away from it all.

The Hotel looked great - it is in an amazing locations - we went for walks looking at the frozen waterfalls. The hotel is surrounded by an amazing landscape. The room was spacious and comfortable - the bed gave a good night of sleep. The check in went smoothly and all of the staff were very efficient and friendly. It has lovely and relaxing lounge and bar area and the website photos are just like the real thing. We really enjoyed our stay. We loved the little village near to the hotel.

We didn't like the fact that we only booked for one night and had to leave - we enjoyed that much.

Disappointed minimoon stay

The room was recently renovated and the bed was extremely comfortable. The onsite restaurant for our evening meal was very nice also.

The staff were lacking warmth. The tea/coffee amenities were lacking in the room, perhaps trying to get you to spend down stairs. Shower pressure was rubbish.

Excellent location, friendly staff and warm welcome

Gorgeous location, comfy clean rooms and public spaces. Excellent staff and the Christmas decorations were lovely, dinner was lovely although could do to be served quicker to keep it hot.

The breakfast was poor. Hard sausages or no sausages cold eggs Benedict, overcooked smoked haddock. Our second night there was a boiler issue so no heating or hot water in the evening meaning we couldn’t shower for dinner. I appreciate this was a one off but disappointing. The staff did notify the guests at 6.40pm by phoning each guest. Personal attention and apologies were given and we appreciate these things are usually a one off.

Very nice relaxing break. Lovely setting.

Breakfast was really nice as was dinner. Staff were friendly and room and hotel was clean. The only one negative thing I would say is that it would have been nice to know in advance that Ramblers Bar was shut as we had planned our night around watching the football there prior to dinner and there was nowhere else in Glenridding to watch it.

Gorgeous hotel, Staff are superb, little touches let it down.

Beautiful hotel in gorgeous setting with first class staff. Ate in the orangery restaurant on the evening (as Ramblers had closed early for some reason) and the food and serving staff were excellent. Partners birthday, so received a small complimentary upgrade from superior fell view room to superior lake view room and the birthday card was a nice touch. I had arranged and paid for champagne which was awaiting us on arrival. Thank you I cannot compliment the staff highly enough - they really are the heartbeat of the hotel, nothing is a problem to them and they all approach visitors with a great sense of humour. They made the stay.

Room was a little dated and shower had little to no power. Bathroom - some areas were still unclean which was disappointing Bed - a huge and comfortable bed, but sadly 2 of the pillows were dirty and appeared ‘used’. The nespresso machine needs smaller cups as you couldn’t fit them on the plate to pour a coffee.

Awesome hotel.

This is a beautiful hotel, in a fantastic location. With views across the lake & up the mountain. Beautiful gardens & ample parking. The staff are excellent. The bedroom & bathroom were spotless with central heating & underfloor heating in the bathroom. The food (breakfast & evening meals) were cooked to perfection. A credit to the owner.

Our lake view room was excellent and the staff very friendly. The grounds were well maintained and the location beautiful.

We booked in the Orangery to eat. The food was good but nothing special. Although it was well presented.

High quality lakeside stay at The Inn on The Lake in Glenridding.

High quality room with good views across the mountains and Ullswater lake and a very comfortable bed. Good in room facilities, coffee, tea, hair drier, ironing board etc. Great selection of breakfasts available and A La Carte menu served in the restaurant area which has lovely views across Ullswater. There is also a nice bar and an additional Orangery with a good bar menu available. The hotel has a very good layout with plenty of seating, plenty of natural light and good views and grounds to enjoy. Great access to Glenridding village, local walks and the lake steamer service to Pooley Bridge and Howtown Bay.

Beautiful scenery. Friendly and helpful staff who went out there way to make my mum comfortable as she is disabled . Great restaurants and the best Cocktails. Hotel is immaculately clean.

Minor issues. Taps on the bath in an unexplainable position and made it impossible for my mum who has poor mobility to get into the shower. Beds very high and once again mum struggled getting into her bed. Not enough milk tea bags provided for one day.
