Lovely stay at The Old School House ☺️

The Old School House is a lovely place to stay. Home from home really. Such welcoming and friendly hosts to us and our dog. Breakfast was amazing. Location was ideal for exploring the area. Highly recommend this B&B 👌

Cozy character building. Every detail considered and lots of extra touches making it special. Fires always lit.

The bed was comfy but bit soft for my back. My preference due to bad back though may suit others.

Lovely place to stay with comfortable rooms. Great location to visit Hawkshead and surrounding area.

Location in Hawkshead was great, able to walk into the centre very easily. Room was a great size with very large en suite. Hosts were friendly, had plenty of choice for breakfast.

Amazing dog-friendly hotel

An amazing dog-friendly hotel located in a quaint village of Hawkshead. The building itself is from 16th century and it was such an experience to stay in this cosy hotel. The owners who run the hotel were very friendly and welcoming, we felt right at home. And the breakfast was great too!

Hawkshead is a perfect base with lots of walks from the door. The breakfast at The Schoolhouse was excellent and the hosts, Emma and Mark were really nice

We had a lovely few days in The Old Schoolhouse, very relaxing holiday, would definitely recommend.

Schools out and now the adults get to play!

We had the Wordsworth suite and was two rooms one a bedroom the other a lounge. Very comfortable stay, just wish the bed had been slightly larger. Very clean and nice views from both bedrooms. Hopefully we will be back one day!

Not a lot at all. Breakfast was delicious 😋 and we loved meeting Beautiful Bella, as we were missing our groodle very much.

Proprietors were very affable and very accommodating.

Location was brilliant only 100 yards to bus stop, village centre and no need to use car due to lots of walks available from doorstep. Parking availability was a big plus at this property.

Short stay Hawkshead

Liked everything. Have stayed before and enjoyed our return. Mark and Emma are very welcoming and the atmosphere is relaxed. The property is a one minute walk to nearest pubs/restaurant in centre of Hawkshead. Breakfast superb! Also parking can be a problem in Hawkshead but The Old School House has parking available on site. Would definitely recommend.

Hosts were friendly, welcoming and helpful, super breakfast, accommodation is a beautiful building full of character, location is great as being on the edge of the village means it’s very quiet but only a stone throw from village pubs and shops.
