The location is fantastic. Visiting family who live in the village.

Nothing. It has such charm.

Lovely location, lovely large room, amazing food! Staff were incredibly accommodating - I had to leave early for an event so wouldn't make breakfast but they offered to make us a sandwich off the lunch menu to take with us 😊

A little tired in areas but clean and comfortable

The room was very spacious. Great size bathroom. Lovely walk in shower. Extra seating was available so we did not have to sit on the bed. Nice size TV. Good Tea and Coffee making facilities and great to have a fridge. Quiet area so no disturbance at night. Staff were very friendly. Greeted with smiles every time. Breakfast was very good. You could choose what you wanted and how you wanted (eggs) it cooked. Perfect poached eggs. Evening meals were great choice and plentiful. I particularly enjoyed the Poke Bowl with Steak.

Although the bathroom was a good size the only negative was the position of the toilet. You could not sit on the seat square on with the towel rail being where it was. We understand in a Victorian building you are limited on where you can put things.

It’s a great start place for walks down to Greenway (National Trust) and the ferry across to Dittisham. The bed was really comfy.

The rooms are decorated with unwelcoming heavy dark furniture. They are very much in need of renovation. The coffee machine didn’t work and was filthy. The sash windows were falling apart and one did not stay open. The restaurant closed at four pm on the day of our visit so no food was available on a bank holiday Sunday. There was a very loud music quiz that went on late into the night. I really regretted this booking. The orange juice at breakfast seems to be orange squash. Nothing smells fresh and clean in this place. Old fires in the grates are not cleaned out. It all seems to be due to a skeleton staff running the place.
