The hotel is in an elevated position overlooking the beach. My wife has mobility issues so she struggles with inclines and hills. Parking is quite limited so first come first served.
The breakfast was very good and plentiful.
Our first room was on the lower level and was very small and dated. the bathroom was not accessible. The bed was very uncomfortable and to get back to the ground floor up all the stairs was not good for my wife, we asked at reception for a different room because of this and we were given a room still on the lower level but it had easy access to a lift.
We did enjoy our stay though

Excellent stay yet again at the Headland Hotel. Brilliant staff. Fabulous views and piping hot food. Can't wish for more and can't wait to stay again.

Our stay at the Headland hotel was overall very nice.
The breakfasts were delicious with plenty to choose from and as much coffee as we liked.
The hydro pools and hot tub were very relaxing - we had them all to ourselves for an hour. I had a Swedish massage which again was incredibly soothing and reasonably priced. *** was very professional and made me feel very comfortable.
The ‘club superior’ room we stayed in was very clean as was the majority of the hotel. The room however could do with updating and the plumbing in our en-suite needed an overhaul as the shower was very temperamental. The staff were unable to fix the problem so compensated us with a refund on our spa payment (£20) and 2 complimentary drinks in the bar.
The staff were very friendly, and accommodating in all areas of the hotel.
We had a sea view which was lovely except for the cars parked all down through the road in front of the hotel, and 3 large coaches that were parked outside the front all week. It was very busy with people coming and going throughout the time we were there. Our bed was comfortable and we slept well once the noise from the other residents died down.
It was ideally situated to visit a wide variety of resorts and places of interest.

Good hotel, but they charge £10 for spa use, which was my main attraction due to my unacceptable medical condition, and this isn't clear when booking. Also, there's nowhere to get a cup of coffee in the morning when you go down to reception; you have to wait until the restaurant opens at 8:00 am. Breakfast and dinner were very good…
