Villa Marina

My partner & I stayed for two nights early June. Vince & Erwan were amazing hosts. It genuinely felt like we were staying with friends. I have never felt so welcome. The homemade cake when we arrived was such a lovely touch. Breakfast was one of the best ive had at any hotel. Really good quality, endless choice and nothing was too much trouble. My poached eggs on toast were perfect with the hollandaise as a holiday treat. Vince gave us a map when we arrived with loads of recommendations of what to do & where to eat. We were gutted we had only booked a couple of nights. We will definitely be back.

Actually can't think of anything negative

Vince and Erwan were fantastic hosts. The guesthouse, room, decor and facilities were excellent. Everything thought about. Breakfast was excellent. It felt like a home away from home which was appreciated due to the circumstances of my trip.

Breakfast - perfect ! A great deal of choices, no request was too much trouble - we were very happy every morning, we were made to feel very welcome. There isn’t anything that could’ve been done to make our experience better !

Nothing - we literally had a perfect stay ! The hotel was excellent in every way, immaculate- cleaner than clean, bedding perfect, en suite immaculate with everything you would ever need, the room had everything you would want - our hosts would’ve provided anything should we have required anything more !

When we saw the glowing reviews online we were very excited to stay, and we can honestly say this place deserves a 10/10. Vince & Erwan are the perfect hosts, they are kind, thoughtful, observant and nothing is too much to ask! We have travelled a lot and stayed in many places but we can say we have never stayed in a B&B like this — honestly this is 5 star service! The room was spotlessly clean, the sheets are comfy and smell divine, the towels fluffy... everything has been clearly thought about and is of great quality. They even have beautiful soaps/shampoo for you to use during your stay! There is a good sized mini fridge to use in the room, and an excellent array or teas/coffees/mini bar etc. (to be honest we knew as soon as we saw Yorkshire Tea we were on to a winner!) We were also not expecting daily housekeeping.. we felt SO well looked after! Breakfast is fantastic, we appreciated the '3 course' options — and very much enjoyed the freshly cooked to order breakfast every morning :) along with the wonderful energy from Vince & Erwan to brighten our day of course! Our dog was welcomed with so much love — tummy rubs, treats, bowls and a blanket in the room for her. There is also a lovely garden for use during the stay. The location was ideal, peaceful and just a few minutes walk from Torre Station, so well connected to surrounding areas by train and bus. However, most days we walked in Torquay (via Torre Abbey) as it's only around a 25 minute (very pleasant) walk! Couldn't recommend this place more, and if we're back in Torquay we'll be back for sure!
