Lovely and welcoming staff across reception and restaurant/bar. Great food with lots of choice on offer.

Breakfast was good. Great location. Bar staff were nice.
Evening meal was not good.
The reception staff were not that helpful.
The room was very dated. The window in the room was covered in dirt. The view was a dirty alleyway and the window hadn't been washed for some time.

The location, we have stayed before. Breakfast is really good and all the staff very pleasant and helpful. Main hotel area is beautiful. Very grand. Convenient garage to leave our car in (£10 a night) close to train and the walk into Torquay is great along the seafront.
On this visit we had a room which was very drafty! The weather was awful but the windows were so old in this part of the hotel that we had to block them with our coats to stop the wind and noise.
