Rude & ant infestation

The room was full of ants in beds on the sides everywhere Offered ant powder in beds and on dresser and table The porter on reception was the rudest man in the world and was clearly on drugs The beds were like cardboard Bathroom door was not even attached to hinges

Fabulous time we made the most of the pools!

Fabulous location, around a 5 minute walk to the beach. Lovely to walk along the promenade then over to the marina. The hotel complex I was pleasantly surprised with, some of the reviews talk about cleanliness or out of date, we found the room lovely, with a fabulous sea view, the pools and overall complex very well maintained. The outdoor pool was a bit brisk to start with but if you’re looking for heated pools there’s 2 inside.

Old and not the cleanest, but a great indoor pool.

The indoor pools were great and family friendly. The family room size was spacious.

Hotel and facilities were not wheelchair accessible. There were stairs everywhere and barely any lifts. The hotels were old, paint peeling off the walls and smelly carpets in the corridors. The entertainment was also lacking.

Not worth the money

The location was brilliant for the event that we had booked for.

Very dated hotel, interior needs bringing up to scratch. Shower head was dirty, towels didn't even cover us, complimentary toiletries was one bottle of refilled hand wash! Bar shut at 10.45 on the Saturday. No-one spoke to us at breakfast, so no-one knew if we were actually customers. Car park was tiny. For the price we paid, we did expect better standards. We would not recommend this hotel or stay again.

Great value, would return

Fantastic location 5 mins from the beach. Great to have 2 pools to choose from, indoor one particularly nice. Not a top notch hotel but not expected for the price. Great value for money. Decent breakfast. Clean.

Nothing i actually didnt like but a few areas would benefit from improving. Beds probably a little old and bathroom needs updating. Water pressure in shower very low.

The hotel is very dated and a bit run down. It needs a refurb. No toiletries. Paid for sea view but it was very much in the distance and a small bit between the trees. Front door locked at certain times so you have to call security. Not clear which part of the hotel you book.

Time warp Torquay

We stayed over with our 9 year old son, he loved it for the arcade area and indoor pool. Staff were great and food was good at a reasonable price. Everywhere is getting more expensive now but at least we didn't have to break out the credit card for fish and chips and a couple of burgers.

Looking a bit dated now, as does Torquay in general. Could feel the springs in the mattress and the bathroom was a weird olive colour, which to be fair added to its charm.

Close to Torquay amenities. Was clean. The pool area was great.

The property needs a lot of maintenance and upkeep. Everywhere is very dated, tired or broken. The windows in our room was letting a full draft in. It needs a full refit.

We had an enjoyable time, which was what we wanted,

everything was good other than some areas need updating and some TLC. The water pressure in the shower was very poor and only just above a dribble!! it took a long time to have a shower.

this hotel needs demolishing would stay there if you have any standards be warned

absolutely nothing to like about the hotel

it was shabby dirty smelly it was like going into a time capsule back to the 1960's the pool area was dirty, the decoration was in a rotten state the bedroom had furniture that should have gone to landfill years ago.the beds was lying on concrete with a plastic under sheets, the windows would open or shut fully. the external decoration was dirty falling off the guttering had more plants in it than the gardens had.

Appalling is an understatement.

Nothing to like. False advertising on tripadvisor meant I drove to the hotel only to have to cancel. “Free parking” is advertised all over tripadvisor. Upon my arrival they wanted me to pay £10 for parking. Appalling bunch and incredibly rude management team. I am raising their false advertising with trading standards and have told my bank. Despite their false advertising they still haven’t offered any form of refund or compensation. Luckily my bank and trading standards are there to stop corrupt businesses like TLH hotel.

Dirty room and windows were a hazard

Dirty pillows upon arrival of which I have photos of also the windows were sealed shut , I had to get 2 members of staff and nearly midnight to enter my room and stand on top of a table to force the one window open where they were sealed shut and the other window would not even open , the beds were not very comfortable and the bathroom was very dirty including a very yacky shower head

Hotek ok, good facilities for kids!

The amenities for the children; pool, arcade etc was great.

The beds are poor quality, bumpy and the breakfast was poor especially the sausages ( cheap ). Also the breakfast finished at 945 so you felt rushed when you went in at 920 for instance.

Lovely breakfast & communal areas. Good location

Room was rather shabby apart from bathroom.When we arrived, virtually nowhere to park on entire campus. Eventually able to move from awful space to location behind Toorak. At breakfast had been assigned to a table with large bowls group but staff did sort it
