    I booked last minute as a little getaway for me and my boyfriend and got a reasonable deal for a double seaview room on Agoda. I rang the hotel to check and was told that my booking had come through from the booking site as a twin with inland view. When I questioned this I was told it was not a problem and would be put right when we checked in. The lady on reception seemed confused as to why this had happened and when the manager stepped in and to my amazement, instead of sorting it, she was unhelpful and rude. She tried to blame the third party booking site and wasn’t keen to honour my booking. I had to show her the booking and confirmation for her to begrudgingly leave it to Gaby ( who was helpful, and lovely) to sort it. So eventually we got the room we’d booked but it was not the welcoming experience I would have expected and the manager ( didn’t get her name) could do with more training in customer facing hospitality because her attitude was poor. The hotel is nice, but needs some new carpets and a lick of paint in areas like hallways and balconies. With one exception the staff are all professional and what you’d expect from a 4 star hotel. The location is superb and we loved our seaview so would probably come back, just hopefully to some new front of house staff 😊

    Great location, outside pool area is excellent although broken woodwork in a couple of places. The staff were friendly and helpful in relocating us to the correct (sea view) room category.

    Arrived an hour earlier than the 3pm check in time to be told I could pay £15 to check in I returned at 10 pm to be told they would take £80 for breakages Room was very warm and airless We turned the radiator off opened the window and we took the fan out of the wardrobe and put that on Next morning we asked for a sheet as the duvet was too heavy and was not suitable for my daughter and myself who was baking in the bed The duvet was placed on the wardrobe without cover so if we had wanted to use it on the other nights I would have struggled with my arthritis to get it down Twin Room was big enough with plenty of hangers Bathroom was a bath with a hand held shower, which got very hot with poor pressure Bath had handles to get in with Towel rail was in an awkward position Bed was OK for a few nights stay Didn't spend much time in hotel eating out at Amici and No 7 My daughter did use the outdoor pool She brought her own towel which was lucky as the hotel used to supply towels for the pool but not any more Had a few drinks on the terrace but the area could do with some loving care, plants in pots watered and paving needs attention On one night that we stayed there was a birthday party that spilled out to the reception and lounge area Music could be heard in bedroom, we were on third floor Check out was slow with only one person on reception I had to remind them to give me back my £80 deposit
