Great communication, warm and welcoming staff, lovely and clean and well presented property and room. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious with everything we needed.

It’s very minor but the shower was quite small for my tall, broad shouldered hubby.

This was such a beautiful place to stay, lots of character and places to sit both inside and in the lovely garden. I was fortunate to be offered an upgrade with a balcony which was very kind..the ladies running it all very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely choose there again when in Auckland.

Lovely welcoming owners and manager. The place itself is beautiful! The outdoor area at the back of the building was so nice and relaxing. Our room was super clean and the bed was extremely comfortable!

Delightfully charming staff and stay

Staff at this hotel were absolutely delightful. Warm, welcoming, friendly, and eager to make our stay as perfect as possible. The outdoor sitting areas and indoor lounge are comfortable extra spaces perfect for relaxing or socializing. Rooms and beds were very comfortable.

Our only critique was the bathroom sink was a bit small, which made it difficult to wash up.

We received an upgrade! Beautiful , comfortable room with a huge bed and balcony overlooking the garden. Bird song, otherwise very quiet and a homely atmosphere.

Delightful and welcoming boutique hotel away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bavaria Boutique Hotel and in particular the exceptional kindness of our on-site host Kerri who seemed to materialise magically to answer our every need. She was there to greet us when we appeared tired from our journey over and did everything she could to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. We loved the little sitting room area where we could meet up after a day of sight-seeing and enjoy a glass of wine. We broke up our stay with a brief trip over to Barrier Island and we were able to leave behind our great suitcases which was an enormous help. The hotel itself is situated in a pretty little suburb about a 10 minute drive from the centre of Auckland and a welcome retreat from the sprawling greyness of the city.

By their own admission the steep steps to the hotel entrance are a real pain when you are lugging great big suitcases up them. And the proximity of the first rooms to the main door meant that late arrivals and early departures could disturb your sleep. But this was only minor.

Cozy and comfortable stay

It’s very cozy, for me felt like home away from home. Travelling so far away from home, this house and its hosts made me feel welcomed and comfortable. It’s located very close to the center but away from the noise and busy streets. Has a big supermarket around the corner and great food/restaurants open. Then, as a tourist, you can pick up location of Cordis hotel for drop offs/pick up, takes 5 min by Uber. Kerri the live in host has been friendly, helpful, flexible and overall made the stay an amazing experience. Thank you!

Beautiful place with lovely decor in a really quiet and pretty part of mt Eden. The staff were so lovely, treating me and my partner to a cake to take with for our anniversary! I was there on my own for a week and it felt so homey, I was very well looked after in a very nice place.
