It’s located on a sketchy road with bars, strip clubs and homeless junkies, a lil scary for a female solo traveler but the interior of the hostel is decent and clean! Not a very social place & staff wasn’t the friendliest but does his job.

Very disappointing and inconsiderate customer service
I accidentally left my room key inside my room at around 8:00 pm and rang the buzzer at the entrance to ask for help so I could get back into my room.
The person who answered simply told me that I would need to pay an additional call-out fee for someone to come and assist me. I explained that I did not have any extra money with me, but unfortunately, no alternative solution or assistance was offered.
As a result, I was locked out of my room and had to spend the entire night outside.
I completely understand that I made a mistake by leaving my key inside, and I accept responsibility for that. However, I would have expected some basic understanding and assistance from the hostel, particularly because I was already a paying guest and was simply trying to access the room I had paid for.
Being told that I needed to pay another $ and then being left outside for the whole night felt extremely inconsiderate and lacking in customer care.
This was a very unpleasant experience, and unfortunately, it has significantly affected my overall impression of BK Hostel. I hope management reviews how situations like this are handled, because guests can make genuine mistakes and may not always have extra cash available for an unexpected call-out fee.
