I only stayed for one night. Arrived after hours and the self check-in was easy to follow. Room and kitchen were clean. Nice architecture and the building was well maintained.

Slightly off the city centre but good place to stay if u have a car. The 3 bed dorm was very clean and spacious! Not the most social place to stay but perfect for some quiet time

We really enjoyed our stay at the Verandahs. It was all very clean, cleanest hostel we've ever stayed in.
Excellent shared kitchen space. Well set up for basic cooking equipment, and includes started fridge side and dry storage. Really well done.
Nice big shared lounge with large couches and chairs.
We found the staff very helpful.
Really great location beside a large city park and a block from the start of the "cool" part of Ponsonby. Surprisingly quiet considering it's on a major road and a block from Great North Road that is very high traffic. Just tucked away enough to buffer from the traffic.
When in Auckland again, we will for sure choose to stay here.
