Good location, comfortable bed with privacy curtain, clean & a big communal kitchen area

Staff were excellent & accommodating.
An interesting mix of guests, mostly European - German/French/Italians/Brits.
They don't serve food, but the kitchen is excellent for those who BYO.
The showers are really good.
It Is a hostel, but I felt safe from theft.
Central location close to Bus station.
Overall good value for money.
The rooms lack AC and airflow, so can be hot in summer til early morning.

The room was bigger than expected, and the bathroom was nice with more amenities than expected.
The common area was big and many people were using the facilities as the kitchen.
Failed to read that you need to rent a towel (2 dollars), but a towel was provided for the sink.
The ventilation in the bathroom didn't work, which made it humid. However, I believe the people staying in the room previously didn't inform the staff. Once the staff were informed, they came to the room to inspect and promised to get it fixed as soon as possible

Good size rooms, easy check in and check out process. Sheets were clean and beds were pretty comfy. Oven and a bunch of good stuff in the kitchen.
Toilet seats were kinda broken on first floor, kids on a field trip knocked on the door for ages early in the morning, rooms were really hot. Not bad though, for Auckland very reasonable price, but as with any hostel, probably not good for light sleepers. But overall not a bad experience.

Great location right off Main Street and leading straight down to the Harbour.
Staff was really nice and helpful.
The kitchen was cleaned regularly so it was always pretty clean given how many people use it throughout the day.
The dorm was spacious with en suite
Only 2 showers/toilets for over 20 girls just in one dorm (another one was out of order during my stay).
I would definitely recommend bringing an eye mask for this one because the dorm I was in was very bright at night. There were neon lights right outside and no curtains on the windows…

Very good, very clean, overall very nice. Liked the curtains in front of the dorm beds and the reading light. Nice, clean and big kitchen. Nice people. Very luxurious for a backpackers and for the price tbh.

Clean facilities
The bedroom window was high up so you couldn’t look out.

social rooms like kitchen, sport room to meet nice people
a 6-bed room is too small when it is fully occupied.

I liked the main area where everyone chills. We were able to have a couple pre drinks before the Maoli gig. Really chill.
Staff were onto it too...very prompt when I needed help with the kiosk. No fuss, no stress, and they sorted out my parking as it is a FIFS. So you got to be quick to reserve the parking spot
Was sooooo hot in the room. A fan would fix that tho. Hopefully they have them available next time. Otherwise everything was ka pai😁

It was close enough to where my conference was held daily and easy to and from both locations.

Location
No Aircon, no toilet or shower in room (this was not stated on the booking).

Some of the staff were nice, the lady with blue hair (sorry I didn’t get her name) was lovely and really helpful. The bed was comfy.
The showers had mould in. Also said there were hairdryers in every bathroom and there wasn’t. There wasn’t enough facilities for the amount of people there I think. The kitchen and dining area got full very quick and people would use the table in there to play games so there wouldn’t be space to sit to eat. There were also only 2 showers in the communal bathroom on my floor which was not enough. I slept in the basement one night and it was so bright because of the lights outside the window shining in and no curtains. I also stayed in a 6 bed dorm one night and this was way too small of a room for that many people

The location is great just by Queen Street
Toilet was not clean the more you looked the more dirt I saw. The devil is in the details… the room needs a detailed clean like 1 a week

Bed set up in shared dorm was comfortable, functional and private
The shower mat and tea towels were too wet to use

Everything was perfect ! a warm welcome, the kitchen area large and equipped, the sofa/TV area, the rooms and showers clean!
Maybe the price of washing machines/dryer little bit expensive and the smell of the fridges is not great.

Super clean, super nice personel and curtains for privacy ❤️🔥
Honestly it is how it should always be 🤩

Very good hostel in overall. The kitchen was pretty good, bathroom clean and the bed was quite private even in the dorm.
The dorm was quite small once full. The lockers were tiny, so we couldn't fit backpacks/ luggage in it, they were all over the floor leaving not much space left.

Location
Room for 4 people too small. No space to move if there are two people outside the bed. I am not going to recommend Haka House hostels. In facilities they say luggage storage but it is not possible to store luggage for several days.

Comfortable beds. Each bed pod has a curtain and its own charger sockets and light, as well as some shelving. The kitchen area is large, lots of storage space and a nice communal feel to it.
Room was quite small.
A dedicated study space might be nice?

Nice room. Great location. Friendly staff. The best kitchen I have seen in a Hostel in a long time. Clean..

Lovely large well-equipped kitchen with lots of storage space.
Beds in the dorm were comfortable, sheets were clean, and beds had curtains to separate from the main room, as well as their own plug sockets and light.
Very satisfied.
Top of the ledge in the upper bunk bit dusty - everything else was perfect.

The room was clean, the facilities also. Close to where I needed to be. Easy check in. No hassle.
the double bed had two single mattresses which slipped on the frame, even without being active a lot

Horrible service the receptionist knew nothing about Auckland or the local culture. Creepy neighbours in the dorm, asocial and overpriced place. The reception did not handle a single request ! I had much better experience in many other hostels in NZ.

Own room with a tv and a small fridge. Big kitchen with a lot of facilities. Easy check in.
Our room was pretty hot/no cooler. It was pretty loud during the night, because of a club nearby. The bathroom stank and was not that clean.
