Awesome Stone House

Location, cool, smart, clean

The property had been very well restored and maintained the original charm and stonework including the domed ceilings. It was very well done. The property included a well fitted and functional kitchen with quality appliances and also included a dedicated eating area. The apartment include a very good and functional air-conditioner and there was a combustion heater for the cooler months. There was also dedicated courtyard provided with seating available. We liked the position of the apartment which was in an old lane but not too far from the main area of Split, the palace and the foreshore.

Noting it is a restored older property and in this case the compromise was the bathroom. It was small with a very small shower cubicle and a low mounted shower head which faced the shower curtained opening and you had to be very careful not to flood the bathroom space. Suggest an easy and relatively cost effective solution was a wall mounted extension pipe with an overhead rain shower style. The apartment floor wasn't very clean with white socks looking quite brown. The outdoor area wasn't used as the outdoor seats had a reasonable amount of bird mess. Potentially could have a box to store the cushions as there is sufficient space? Bedside tables would finsih the apartment and would provide somewhere for phone charging and water etc.

Fantastic stone apartment with kitchen, lounge and eating area a short walk to the palace and waterfront.

There were a few things that could be improved to make the stay more comfortable, but the ambience of the place was fantastic.
