We felt at home from the minute we arrived in this gem of a hotel

One of the nicest hotels we've ever stayed in - welcoming staff, delicious breakfast and spotlessly clean. Also a great location - in a quiet street but very close to the main sights. This is a very well-managed hotel which puts customers at ease and ensures an excellent experience.

Not a 4 star hotel, in fact nowhere near it. It was a very expensive stay for such poor quality acco

Breakfast was fair but nothing special. Location is superb. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Room was awful. The curtain rail was broken and the basin tap was so loose, we thought it was about to come off. The cover for the bedding consisted of a duvet cover. The only window had a high wall two metres in front of it. The hotel was not full so not sure why we were not given a better room.

Small criticism . On our final day i used the downstairs WC. The light bulb had gone in the cubicle so I had to use my phone torch and there were no hand towels in the dispenser. The staff were all outside in the guests seating area having a cigarette when they could have remedied these simple issues instead and then had a break .

Short dad-son trip to Split

The location was perfect, 5 minutes walk from the palace. Also, the hotel was really clean and the staff super friendly. So amazing stay overall!

Nice

Really great location, nice rooms but bedding could be improved a little. In my opinion it was clean but we didn’t try the pool as it was a little colder outside when we stayed. The night shift workers were very good, always polite and helpful with any requests. Felt very safe there with him also.

No kettle / tea coffee making in one of the rooms & the breakfast was just OK. Fried eggs, bacon and yoghurts and pastries every day. The coffee machine produced the worst coffee i ever tasted. Fruit was hit and miss and there was only rolls or white bread which felt kind of stale. We were only there for 5 days so it wasn’t too bad but i really missed a good coffee in the morning and variety with breakfast would have been nice. Maybe some beans, pancakes or choice of porridge. I felt, for what we paid it wasn’t up to standards and would expect more.

Great Team but outdated and certainly overpriced for the quality

Wonderful location and brilliant team. Right in the heat of the old town, close to loads of restaurants but far enough away to be peaceful

Hotel felt dated, we were upgraded to the Penthouse which had a brilliant private roof terrace but it’s heavily overlooked by other rooms. The shower was rubbish, full of limescale and only enough hot water for about five minutes. The room was poorly designed with a old kettle and limited facilities to make a cup of coffee in the morning, no hooks to hang wet towels, lights that represented a medical theatre, it felt very cheap not like a boutique hotel. Overall nice position but not worth the cost of a three night stay.

Quaint and modern BnB in the heart of Split

Great location with great restaurants and shops within walking distance. Highly recommend Roko I Cicibela across the street. We did not have the best weather but the pool/ lounge area looked great and very relaxing. They even upgraded us to a balcony room which was so appreciated.

It rained heavily while we were in Split which resulted in very minimal activities and access to most restaurants. But, the hotel has a great spa that you can book privately to enjoy some relaxation if it rains during your stay.

A very nice, clean hotel, which was only a short walk into the town, with incredibly friendly and helpful staff! The pool was also good.

A charming hotel with all the amenities, including a pool in a great location.

It was a beautiful charming hotel in a quiet location near to lots of local bars and restaurants. The room was very comfy, clean and well equipped. All the hotel staff were very helpful and welcoming. Thank you to Ana and Toni especially for making our stay a memorable one.

Really great hotel, would recommend and would go back

Hotel was in a great location, close to Split old town but enough distance away that wasn’t noisy. Room was brilliant, spacious, nicely decorated and with a private roof terrace. Staff were really friendly and helped with local restaurant recommendations.

Bathroom only had a curtain separating from the bedroom.

Amazing stay and would absolutely stay again.

The comfort and the location were amazing. Two staff members, Lara and Ana, are the nicest people ever and made us all feel so at home. The balcony in the penthouse was very clean. Got an amazing upgrade to the penthouse the day before we got there.

The pool was cold and seemed a little bit dirty. There was no lift for ease of carrying suitcases.

Best hotel for a visit to Split. Perfection.

The location is perfect, with great restaurants 2 minutes away and the promenade only 5 minutes walk away. Everything is easily accessible. The hotel itself is great. The rooms are nice and spacious, and the pool is perfectly maintained. Was nice to be able to have a morning swim before starting the day and a cooling swim at the end of the day. And the staff are extremely helpful and can point out the best gelatoria to visit (and they were right :-)

Perfect in every way.

Hotel Sperone was an ideal stay. The location was fantastic. The staff was friendly and always ready to help with a smile, a good morning or whatever else we needed. The room was lovely and spacious. We enjoyed the pool area every day including relaxing by moonlight at night. Tons of restaurants, bars, and markets within a few minutes walk, as well as being right near the Split Riva. Perfect.

Very disappointed we did not get the room we thought we booked. It makes us nervous of using booking.com in the future.

Location and swimming pool

The room was not as described on booking.com. We were supposed to get a luxury double room , but the room we had was nothing like that advertised on Booking.com , it was up three flights of stairs and was a dormer room - considerably smaller than the room advertised. We paid twice the amount for our stay compared with our friends yet ended up with very similar rooms. The owner did offer to cancel the booking but with no alternative accommodation we had no choice but to stay. The owner also offered breakfast free of charge and a 10% discount which we are still waiting for. All we wanted was the room we thought we had booked - so we do feel we have been mis sold. The room we stayed in should be re-classified so other customers are not misled or mis-sold. For the record booking .com were advertising pictures of room 11 (a double aspect room) the room we stayed in was room 12, with just a small dormer window.

Ana and Lara were absolutely amazing, I can't say enough about how great they were. They made the whole stay incredible, nothing was a problem and just always smiling, the accommodation was second to none so thank you lovely ladies.

Poor coffee offering for kettle in room. (only 3 in 1 sachets with sugar). Coffee machine at breakfast very slow. Photos suggested pool was bigger than it was.

Very nice stay in split

It was a good location, surrounded by excellent restaurants. The room was modern, nicely decorated and clean. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. They were happy to offer advice or recommendations.

If you have walking difficulties, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel as there’s no access by car and it’s slightly up hill to wheel suitcases. This is quite normal for split but something to be aware of. We found the room to be a little damp and cold at times. It wasn’t visible as the place was cleanly, but more you could feel it. The windows were kept open when we arrived so we opened these when we could.

Great staff, great location!

Hotel was great, clean and fantastic location! Staff were lovely and very helpful- even getting us alternative milk for breakfast when we explained we were vegan. The penthouse room is definitely worth it with a private terrace for sunbathing. Would definitely recommend!!

Only having one iron available for the whole hotel isn’t ideal and could be easily fixed by putting one in each room. Our aircon also stopped working for a couple of nights but the staff were quick to fix it which was helpful.
