The estate is beautiful and well maintained. In staying there you get to enjoy the grounds after the day tourists have left.
I wasn’t totally impressed by the menu. On the second evening I selected from the bar menu instead.
It seems to be a trait of hotels that they give their attention to people possibly wanting to book an event. The restaurant staff served the event manager and her guests and left diners waiting. My husband received his hot dessert that he had to eat while I had to wait for the cheese board. I received an insincere apology and a shrug.

The room was beautiful. It was huge with a lovely outside terrace and overlooked the chateau. The bathroom and shower were also lovely. The bed was really comfy. The staff were all very polite and helpful.
We ate at the restaurant which was a real treat. The first course was wonderful but sadly the beef tournadoes were not cooked 'a point' and were instead rather well done which I don't like! I should have said something earlier but left it until the end of the meal to comment on this. They were very apologetic and said that they would pass it on to the chef but there was not offer of a drink or anything to make up for it.

Location in front of the castle is great. The room is comfortable but small.
Service was extremely slow in the restaurant. No staff at breakfast for 20 minutes needed to go to the kitchen to get one. Not particularly friendly. A lot of condition issues throughout the hotel which should not be in such category. Not good value for money as a whole.
