Relais de Chambord, a Small Luxury Hotels of the World

The check-in went well, left most of our luggage in the boot of our car except for a small carry on and a small bag for the two nights stay. Also the wine purchased in the Loire valley was stored to avoid the high temperature in the car. (35*C) Excellent assistance.

The room was the size of a walk-in closet, the bathroom was suitable for one person at the time. So we used the bathroom sequently to avoid running into each other. At breakfast, we waited some time for the waitress to check us in and guided us to a table. Before sitting down, the waitress asked what we would like to drink. We both ordered green tea. I sat down and my wife went to the buffet for breakfast. Upon her return, I had asked the waitress for our green tea. When my wife had sat down at the table, I went to the buffet for my breakfast. Upon my return, the green tea had still not arrived. We mentioned to several personnel members that we were still waiting for our green tea while we commenced eating our breakfast. We finished our breakfast without any green tea being served. We went back to our room and packed our backs and checked out of the hotel. The manager didn't want to reimburse us for the second night which resulted in the short sentence to sum up our stay.

I have enjoyed it so much that the only thing that I did not like was not having time to stay more time at the hotel.

The ambiance and atmosphere are fantastic. We will definitely be back and stay longer.

Unfortunately the safe didn’t work. They promised to fix it the next morning. When that didn’t happen they offered to put my jewelry in the drawer of the reception desk….The service was underwhelming. There were over €200 of incorrect charges on the bill. Same thing happened to the woman before me.

Really nice room. Very comfortable bed and very clean. Good bathroom Staff were really friendly and helpful. The restaurant for breakfast and evening meals was excellent, particularly the meal in the smarter restaurant, with great service Located with stunning views of the chateaux from some rooms and from the restaurant terrace......very relaxing. Private parking from the chateaux crowds. Local area very good for walking or cycling (rent from the hotel)

the new part has tiny ugly rooms. the female desk staff were unhelpful. i had messaged a couple of days in advance to ask if my mum and i could have a room with a bath. they did nothing about that. when we arrived i asked again and confirmed i would pay more. it was agony but we got the bath.

Staff weren't that great in certain areas. We like the spa staff and the front of house staff. One of the barmen was good as well. But let down by some of the restaurant staff. Service was also too slow for us. Staying for a few nights will be better than a week. You forget that the chateaux Chambord is a major tourist destination, although the hotel has its own grounds you are surrounded by lots and lots of people during the day!

Great location close to Château

Service at times very disappointing particularly in the restaurant which we only used once as a consequence. Much better options in Blois are available. The welcome on arrival was particularly unhelpful and failed to provide useful information.

We had a lovely stay at the Relais de Chambord! The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the room felt comfortable and luxurious with lots of little touches and attention to detail (although the room was slightly smaller than we were expecting). The spa area is lovely, especially the outdoor hot tub and sauna/steam room areas. The bar and restaurant were also great and we had a delicious meal there. Great location right next to the river and the Chateau! We would definitely go back if we were in Chambord again.

The location of this hotel is absolutely stunning. It is next to the Chateau Chambord and offers amazing views of the Chateau and surrounding countryside. The room was smaller than others we stayed in in France, but was very clean and extremely comfortable. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. Overall it was a wonderful stay in a beautiful location.
